I talked with a manager from one hour air and heating after writing a bad review and was able to get back my money and there sending out a teck to check out the air conditioner so Iam giving them another try.Review from Trish H

June 12, 2024 One hour technician arrives to repair my NO AIR AC. He fixed the leak? & I pay $195 for refrigerant. He informs me of their annual service warranty of X2 free maintenance service. So, I enrolled, adding $249 knowing I have X2 tune-ups before the year is out. Everything's GOOD! I called to schedule a service to keep my AC in good running shape on Aug. 7. Technician, Mr. R tells me I have a leak & NO refrigerant. What they didn't know is; the AC was turned off for over a month. I only call to use my annual service program, I had no complaints! my AC was fine. Now, I have No refrigerant (drained) and who knows what this guy has done to defect my AC. They gave me an estimate to replace the evaporator coil of $2,350.00. It's Thursday leaving messages, no one answers phone, now! It's friday; I got terribly ill, now i must wait with NO AC till Monday. I call all the different phone area codes and leave messages to speak to the manager. NO return calls. Monday, I call to speak to manager; of course "he is not in town", yeah righto! She says she will refund my $249 membership but not for the refrigerant that Mr. R obviously leaked out. That technician brought "something" into my home that made me ill. BEWARE!Review from Nick W

We have had an account with this company for years. We pay the monthly agreement to receive PM work and discounts. We called on 7/30 for a service call that described our issue and that the ductwork needs to be evaluated and that its under the house. We were dispatched on 8/1 and the tech that arrived was not able to physically get under the house and explained that we need to find where the leak is. That was strange since we arent tech and one hour is. We did say that she was not competent to do this job. The next day we received another gentleman and this tech came unprepared with no suit to go under the house and said that if he did have it all he would be able to do is see it and not repair because he had no tools nor tape. Okay, round two is a failure.Then we begging to call to get answers and no one will return our calls. This has gone on for 7 days. Mind you, this is a 90 year olds home which during the day gets to 86 in some areas. One hour is unethical in their business practices. As of today, no one in leadership has acknowledged our requests.Review from Terry E

My renter had ** problems on a weekend and called One Hour. The guy came the next day and said it was a Freon leak. Put some Freon in and told me what he thought was causing the leak. I agreed to get it fixed with them. Another technician showed up on Monday and went over things with me and gave me an estimate. After reviewing that I agreed to have the unit replaced. The next day two technicians showed up to install new unit. The install looked great the only problem was half the house no longer had electricity. They said they called there electrician and they left. Few hours later an electrician shows up and says the breaker box is bad and thats not there fault although Ive had no electrical issues until they installed AC. If the breaker box was bad the AC installers should not have gone forward with the installation until that issue was resolved. He said he could put a new breaker in but it would cost me $350+. I argued that the house had no issues before they showed up and now its my fault? I refused to let them touch anything else on my house. This was underhanded and wrong. I called the company and asked to speak with the owner or manager but they would not let me speak with either. I hope no one else uses this company and if they do beware.Review from Thomas I

One Hour Air Conditioning & Heating, Clearwater set up a regular annual service plan for our AC. They missed the appointment they scheduled for us. They never called us to tell us they would not make the appointment as scheduled. When we called them about why the tech never came, they lied about the reasons (first they said the tech tried to call but couldn't get through to us, so they cancelled the appointment, then they said the tech called in sick and that was the reason for missing and cancelling the appointment). Instead of sending another tech, they tried to schedule an appointment 3 weeks out. We already waited for 2 weeks, so we asked them to cancel our contract and return our money. They agreed, yet never returned our money. Do not use this AC/plumbing repair service. Unreliable and not trustworthy. Below are their web addresses. Called one Hour on Sunday (June 30th), my ac thermostat was broken. I live in FL and I NEED my ac, I am ill. Tech came on Sunday (June30th) about 9 pm. Stayed about 20 mins. I told him the thermostat was broken, it was digital and DID NOT hold any info I input and the ac would not run, without manually punching the buttons. Tech said that wasn't my problem, without looking first. He said the drain line was clogged and he went outside to unplug it, with an air hose. Then he said everything was fine and still did not look at the thermostat. He left. As as he was leaving I said, I asked for the thermostat to be replaced and he said there was nothing wrong with it. I had to stay up another night manually turning the ac off and on. Early Sunday morning I called another ac company. They came here in 3 hrs (early Mon 1st morning) and actually REPLACED the thermostat, which WAS broken. Their tech said no one had cleaned the drain line. Other tech replaced the thermostat, cleaned the drain line and actually showed me all his work on his tablet. Then charged me 1/2 has much as One Hour. I want my money back from One Hour...and I'm never calling them again.

I would like to report that the former manager of this office is no longer with the company. In our case, he had failed to respond properly to our complaint and our request for reimbursement . Luckily, under new management, we have received an apology, and our reimbursement is on its way. Mr. F has been exceedingly helpful in resolving our issue. G. A

On April, 3, 2024, with a time window of 8-11AM, my brother was present on my behalf at my property. I called the company around 9:30ish AM to inquire if someone was coming. The receptionist said that someone should be calling. I called again 10:30ish to inquire as no calls received. She told me the same spiel. At 11:05AM, no one showed up which irritated my brother as he had so much to do on his only day off & wasted 3 hrs. Technician, **** finally showed up at 11:30. Called the company day later to ask why a technician was late & no one ever called to let us know as I was told twice someone would. The male receptionist said someone will call me. Got a hold of ***** who stated he personally showed up to bring parts for the tech so they were on time. *** as he didn't have a response when I asked him why he didn't knock on the door to let himself be known as we didn't expect him. He got off the phone sticking to his story. Told brother what ***** said & this upset him as ***** clearly made up a story. My brother along w/his g-friend sat in the living room for 3 hrs regularly looked out the window waiting. My brother walked in to the company office that day & asked for ***** who happened to be not in. He asked to have ***** contact him.To date, no one has called. On their website they guarantee 100% customer satisfaction. There is a 3rd party listed to which I filed a claim for dispute of service. This company is either made up or doesnt exist as I filled out the form 3-5x & called at least 3x to which there is not one response received. The technician did his job & was rated well for his part but we're very dissatisfied by the terrible service from management. Company claims & trademarked a motto, "Always on Time...or You Don't Pay a Dime!" as stated on their website, their email memos, invoice & on their work vehicles. This is false advertisement as they do their best not to honor it; have the nerves to make up a story & that the customer is wrong.
