Firkins CDJR of Bradenton is our local dealer. They are supposed to be the face of Jeep in our area. NOT SO MUCH!!!From the very first week after purchase, our Wrangler 4Xe needs to be jump started every morning if charged overnight. It has been at Firkins 5 times over 4 months and it now has only 2200 miles on it.The first visit - Their diagnostic equipment showed as many as 29 issues. They changed one of the batteries and told us to come get the car. No testing after the repair. The next morning same thing.Second third, fourth and fifth visits. Similar lack of results. There was no 6th visit. ***** the Service manager at Firkins basically said the manufacturer had not reimbursed them for the loaner car and he would not work with us until they do. Something about we didnt buy it there (they didn't have what we wanted), so it was not their problem. He stated something about being privately owned and having a business to run. So much for representing the manufacturer. Another employee (not ***** or the Service Writer) shared that there were 8 more 4XEs in the back lot that were buy backs for similar issues and we should not have bought a 4Xe in the first place. Like it was our fault for buying a Jeep??? Now for a little about the Jeep ***************************** (Jeep Wave): At least they are trying.Meanwhile ******* at Jeep Wave keeps calling to see how the Jeep is working. He has called Firkins repeatedly and left messages with no return phone calls. He has stated that he will approve the loaner vehicles, if ***** would just call him back. After several weeks, contact was finally made (we had to help) and the loaners were approved for another 10 days (longer if needed). However, when my wife called to make an appointment, ***** said Firkins will not do anything until Jeep pays them or we pay them and then collect from Jeep.******* at Jeep Wave cannot get them to cooperate and finally suggested we seek a more competent dealership.Review from Michael P

Michael and Michelle P***** of Parrish, Fl. 34219 Extremely poor service. They damaged my wife's drivers side seat badly and refused to make the necessary repair. The Service manager stated the permanent damage, done to her white leather seat, was our fault for rubbing too hard, while cleaning the grease and scratch marks made by their tech. The absolute Gaul! We have owned seven new Chrysler vehicles since 1995. We currently own and service a 2016 Dodge Durango and a 2021 Chrysler 300S Hemi. We will no longer buy any Chrysler vehicles, or do any business with this dealership. PLEASE.....Do yourself a huge favor and stay away from this dealer.

Firkins did not damage the seat. We put plastic seat covers on the seat when they arrive at the dealership in the service drive. The customer used a product on the seat. This caused the damage on the seat and too much pressure was applied to when scrubbing. And using the wrong product to remove spot. Firkins always pays for any damage that we would have done to any ones vehicle. I am sure this customer is mistaken on thinking it was us. Otherwise we would have paid for it. They admitted to using a chemical on their seat to clean. I am sorry that **************** thinks differently. I wish the outcome was different. However, I hope he changes his position on this underserved review.Review from Lakayla N

BUYER BEWARE!!! I purchased a 2018 Buick Enclave from Firkins 1/6/23. I went to the lot with my preapproval in hand and was initially looking at a different vehicle but I required something with a bit more space. I purchased the Buick Enclave and the extended warranty. Shortly after purchasing the vehicle I started getting an engine code (****) only to find out that both catalytic converters and flex bellows kits had to be replaced ($5300). Of course none of that was covered by warranty and when I called to cancel my warranty I never got a person and was only sent to voicemail. To date no one has returned any of my calls. Flash forward to January ****, I was on my way home with my children and my car overheated. Come to find out the car was being held together on the front end by zip ties and bondo. Firkins said the vehicle had been inspected but clearly it hadnt and the damage from the accident they told me about was way more extensive than they let on. The result of the shotty repairs was the pressure on both the catalytic converter and the radiator. Do not buy a used car from Firkins. I can almost assure you it is not going to be properly inspected and when you have an issue they wont return your phone calls or refund you the **** warranty that they insist is necessary. My mechanic stated that the vehicle was probably a salvage title due to the about of body damage and the amount of manipulation that had been done as well as all of the front exterior body parts being completely replaced.Firkins Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Response

Sorry to hear that you were not happy with your purchase. Your mechanic made a statement that the vehicle was probably a salvage title. The title would tell you if that was the case. Not opinion based! This review is one year old from the time of purchase. Vehicles being mechanical can experience repairs. The vehicle passed the inspection process before purchase and the history of the vehicle was disclosed on the vehicle. We are sorry that you have experience expenses on repairs. We would gladly pass a discount on to you in our service department on repairs that are not covered. If you would like to cancel your warranty, please contact ********************* at ************.Review from Lauro J

The headliner keeps coming in damaged from the manufacturer. We cannot complete the vehicle until the item is in and passes inspection. Our vehicles that are repaired must meet our standards of quality. This is a parts availability problem and we are exhausting all efforts to rectify.
Additionally, the vehicle would not start. The customer put in a Cosco battery and it failed. Allstate is involved in this and is aware of everything that we are doing. We work with them for approvals...

It is unfortunate that after 20 years of services, my holidays were ruined due to incompetence of the service and general managers! They shouldn't have any stars! I brought my Jeep when my car was stalling as I knew I was due for grease, oil and filter change. I asked to have diagnostic and they didn't. My jeep stalled 5x on way home! Brought it back and it was the crankshaft. Okay got that repaired went home and as I looked around my Jeep, I noticed a dent on my hood! I immediately contacted the service manager sending him my photos and he said per their photos which was sent to me all grainy,by the way, and said it was not their fault..totally BS! I filed a complaint then to 2 female managers emailed me..I never heard back then resent email. One of them said she forwarded to general manager. On Christmas Eve, all of the sudden my light comes on..flashing low tire and notice they didn't recap my tire pressure! I immediately sent photos. I emailed all of them except the general manager since they didn't give me the coward's email address that I was coming in today. Reminding you all that this is now a month later! I went to customer service asking to make appointment with general manager and she took me to service manager! After brief discussion with him, I went back to customer service and I said I asked for general manager and you sent me to service manager! WTF! More BS excuses...finally see the general manager and the coward wouldn't even look at me. I asked why he didn't respond to me when he knew about my complaint all this time! No answer and we proceeded to view the Jeep and still their grainy photos didn't match mine. They are sticking to their story. The photos are not even dated or timestamps! It's F..*************!!!! I will never buy another vehicle from them!Review from Bernadette M

My car went in for service and came out with a cracked windshield - 22" across the front and a nail in the rear tire. I was told the repairs would take 5 days - no one ever called after five days. After repeated calls to the service manager, I reach him on day 10 and ask where my car is. He says he has been on vacation for 10 days - then I find my car hasn't even been repaired. When I pick it up, I find the windshield and a trucker on the highway informs me about the tire. The service manager told me that "accidents happen." I think they lowered the hoist too fast and broke the windshield. The service manager and repairs manager give me all this bull about how ungrateful I am because the car was fixed for free when I had paid just shy of $600 to fix the start/stop a few months before. Service manager asks me to lie on the survey and they will fix the car free. I write a letter to the dealer owner and tell him about my treatment. The General Manager leaves a message and says "sorry about what happened - hope to see you real soon." Service and Firkins is an oxymoron - stay away from them.
