In December 2022 my wife was referred to Fyzical physical therapy by ********************** at Pinnacle health care. The Fyzical clerk who scheduled her told us Fyzical was an in-network provider for *************** The online Aetna ******** provider list confirmed this. However, in January we got a bill from Fyzical for two December sessions that were not paid by *****. ***** told us that the provider --that is, the therapist at the Fyzical facility -- was not an in-network provider. (The claim was filed by an outfit in ****** **.) Hence we owe the total charge -- with more to come. My guess is that Fyzical uses contractors who bill through Fyzical but are not regarded as Fyzical providers by ********. We could not possibly be aware of thisL we were told FYzicalis in network, the Aetna website also said so. I have written to Fyzical, to *********************, to the ******** ombudsman, etc. The message is DON'T TRUST THE INFORMATION YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO TRUST!
