The overall roofing job was okay up to this point it's been 2 months, however I'm here to complain about their sales representative by the name of John M. who is a total lier and cannot be trusted. He intentionally gave me false information about a manufacturer warranty. He said that this specific manufacturer's 10 year non-prorated labor warranty would cover tear-off and haul away of old material and installation of underlayment and new shingles. After checking with the mfg they said only shingles installation would be covered. When I confronted mr John M. he denied telling me that and that I misunderstood him when in fact he told me that on at least 3 separate occasions and I definitely did not misunderstand him. In addition he withheld information about a lawsuit that was recently conducted on this mfg. my advice is to refuse him as your advisor and or sales representative

Alan's Roofing Inc. is an Owens Corning Platinum Preferred Contractor. The Owens Corning Roof system is always our first recommendation when it comes to replacing shingles on a home. When John, our rep, met with this client and wanted to show the benefits of the O.C roof system and warranties, Mr. ******** informed him that he already did his own research and wanted to go with a different brand of shingles. As with any certified roofer in the state of Florida, we can install any roofing product that is available and carries a Florida Product approval certification. Alan's Roofing provides ongoing training to our sales representatives and they are thoroughly trained on product and warranties provided by Owens Corning.as we are an O.C. Platinum Preferred Contractor. Out of the nearly 1,000 Roofs installed each year by Alan's Roofing , maybe 2 are of the brand the Mr. ******** requested for his home. It is unfortunate that Mr. ******** is dis-satisfied with the manufactures warranty on the product that he requested after doing his own research. We try to provide good customer service to all customers which is why we installed the product he specifically requested even though that product is not in our normal offering. His finished roof looks great, passed the final building inspection and we hope Mr ******** get many years of service from his new roof..

While mr M. did suggest Owens Corning shingles I mentioned to him what his opinion was concerning Certainteed Shingles which is what was I I had installed based on his recommendation. Mr M. forget to mention that in the end he recommended Certainteed Shingles he specifically said that it was the best shingles in the market today and asked me not to mention that to Allen's roofing management because they are supposed to promote Owens Corning shingles. In addition me M. told me that Certainteed warranty included a 10 year labor warranty that covered tear down and hauling away of old material and installation of new underlayment and shingles which was not true because I ended up calling Certainteed warranty department and they said that only defective shingles would be covered under warranty for the landmark shingles and not tear down and hauling away of old material. When I confronted mr M. he denied telling me that which was a total lie , so as a matter of fact he told me that ion several occasions at which time j told him that he could not be trusted and that he was a liar which is exactly what he is . I am a retired military member and one thing I absolutely cannot tolerate is someone who lies and has absolutely no integrity and that would be mr M. Now if Allen's roofing accepts this sort of practice or behavior that they should reconsider this policy in the future
