      This business sounded shadey from the first phone call I mad e to rent a motorcycle. I requested a certain type of motorcycle to rent and they said they had it. I left a credit card deposit to reserve the bike. I got a call about a week before the rental saying they had to rent me a different bike. I got to the business at 845 am and waited about 45 minutes to be seen. People who didn't have reservations were seen before me because they arrived sooner and they rented available bikes. While I waited I heard numerous people complaining about their rental. One had problems starting the bike and another had broken down and stranded for a day. When I was finally seen to rent a bike I asked the owner if I could take a look at the bike first. I wanted to make sure I felt safe.with the bike I was renting. The owner, ED, was very nasty and said I could not look at the bike. He then said I couldn't rent the bike. I was very inconvenienced by this and can't believe this guy can run a business like that. The whole operation at Midwest motorcycles seems very shady. Would never recommend anyone to do business with them. I also read other bad reviews on Google about them. Horrible customer service and not friendly at all. I rented a bike from the Harley dealer and had a great experience.

      Somehow we expected this from you. You requested a rental via phone and spoke to the only person that handles rentals and to date has NEVER overbooked or made a mistake on anyone's rental. So we do not understand how the first phone call could have been shadey. You specified that you needed a backrest and a windshield during that call. You received a phone call a week prior to picking up out of courtesy because the bike we originally had you reserved on had been damaged. So rather than just switch you and not ask you if you were ok with being upgraded to a Street Glide, we contacted you. You were also told our business opens at 9am. You arrived, per your description above, 45 minutes prior to our opening and are now complaining that you had to wait. We did not tell you to arrive early. When the owner of Midwest Motorcycle came outside at 9AM, he asked who was first in line...you did not speak up so the first person in line was the first person assisted. Not one person complained about their rentals in your presence or at any time throughout the day. In fact, every rental coming back personally came into the office and thanked us for a great time. So if you are going to review a business, you should be truthful. While you were waiting to be assisted, you were complaining about having to wait and not being seen before anyone else, even though you were asked if you were first. You should have spoken up. When you were filling out your paperwork you asked to see the bike because you wanted to make sure there was a backrest, which I had already told that it would have a backrest and had a detachable windshield. So we all needed to stop the flow and you were brought outside to see the motorcycle. These events are extremely busy for us and as you so noted, people are patiently waiting in line to obtain their rentals. There were no problems with the bike but the consistent complaining about how long you had to wait at this point was very disruptive. I understand that you felt that you deserved superior treatment, but you were completely accommodated and still continued to complain. We have been renting motorcycles longer than Harley-Davidson or Eagle Rider and have a fantastic reputation. There are always those select few customers that will just never be satisfied. Just as an FYI...the Harley dealership doesn't rent motorcycles in this area and the couple that rented the motorcycle I had you reserved on loved the bike! We have a 4.5 star rating on ****** Review and we stand by our customer service. We do hope you have a safe Bike Week!
