I hired Beautiful Outdoors to install a new pool for me on 08/03/22. The contracted timeframe for pool completion was 4 months. They finally finished installing on December 1, 2023, nearly 16 months after the start date. The pool began to leak two weeks after completion. I reached out to Beautiful Outdoors on Jan 2, 2024 to repair it since the warranty covers any leaks within a year of completion. They said they would be out that week to repair. They never came out. They claimed they could not find anyone to do a leak detection and asked for my assistance to find someone. I found two companies willing to come out within hours of my phone call. Beautiful Outdoors said they would only pay $150.00 for leak detection. The two companies I reached out to (including a maintenance company Beautiful Outdoors referred me to) quoted $300.00 for leak detection. After over a month without resolution, I told them I would hire someone and send them the invoice since it was very expensive to continuously refill the pool every few days and was putting stress on my brand-new pool pump. In my experience with them, they do not have a good track record on doing what they say they will in an acceptable timeframe. My pool installation went 12 months over the timeframe in our contract. I sent them the invoice for the repair and leak detection service on Feb 14, 2024 and asked that they pay the balance within 10 days or I would take necessary legal action. The owner called me screaming that he would get his lawyers and hung up on me.Initial Complaint

On February 8, I was rushed to write a check to contractor for approximately $13,400 as a deposit to begin work on my driveway. Approximately $2500 had already been paid since early January for the purpose of obtaining a permit for the work. The contract stated that the deposit was due when the contractor was ready to commence work and had the permit. Neither was true.After a lot of follow up and excuses from the contractor, on March 11 we met with 2 representatives for the contractor who stated they would not do the project unless there was an increase in the contract price. We then told them we did not want to do business with them and wanted our deposit back. They refused to return the monies paid to them which totaled approximately $16,000 (an initial payment of $2,500 was paid in early January for them to seek the permit to do the work and the permit was never obtained). They have stolen our money and from research done online there are other similar lawsuits currently pending in Miami-Dade County against this contractor for similar issues. They are scam artists and need to be investigated and their license taken away. We will also be seeking retribution for the monies stolen from us.Initial Complaint
