We Signed a contract with Capital Homes in March 2021. To build us a house in ******* FL for ****** dollars. As of June 14 ******************************************************************** sight. When we signed the contract we were told 18 months to complete. Then it was 2 years next it was 2 1/2 years and now they are saying 3 years. We also are experiencing very poor communication with Capital Homes. To resolve the issues we need the house to be completed by the end of September 2024. Better communication with the builder (not just the office manager). We want to be compensated for our expenses due to Capital Homes delays in completing our home.

I am rejecting this response because:

Please close my case # ******** against Capital Homes of *********, ***

They have contacted me and said that they will not respond to the Better Business Bureau. The issues we have with them are unresolved and it appears will stay that way.

We entered into a contract with this builder 12/25/2020 and to date, they have NOT finished the job. After 3 years, 3 months of lies, ****** workmanship, blatant refusal to return phone calls or emails we have retained an attorney and will be terminating the contract. There is a laundry list of items not finished...like an ENTIRE ROOM (pool bath) unfinished. Holes left in tile floors. Misplacement of required electrical outlets that the site supervisor admitted they "knew were wrong but hoped would fly", expired permits, a backsplash installed with the wrong tile that when they DID replace it, the work is terrible, damaged walls, short tile. The Certificate of Occupancy has been issued and no trespassing signs have been posted yet they keep coming on to the property setting off alarms. Once the alarm goes off, they enter the house anyway! We will be contacting the Attorney General to lodge a complaint as well. We are in contact with at least 4 other customers going through the same issues with fraud, extortion and poor quality work and customer service.

I *******************, contracted with Capitol Homes on December 30, 2020 to build a home at ******************************************************************************. On November 10, 2023 I recieved an email from Capitol Homes stating that I owed them an additional $61,000 above what the contract price was when I signed the contract . I took possession of the home on 11-24-2023 and moved into the home. Since I was not prepared to pay the $61,000 at time of closing, I signed a note that the builder will hold for 5 years at 2% interest to repay this $61,000. The builder did not contact me from the time the contract was signed on December 30, 2020 until the email that I received on November 10, 2023 about any extra charges that I would be responsible for at the end of the build.I do not feel that I am responsible for any extra charges for this house, because Capitol Homes failed to contact me during the build about any overcharges that were being applied. After moving into the new house, I have contacted Capitol Homes by email once a week to there ************* concerning issues that need to be addressed ASAP with no reply.-ReFrigerator door alignment -Kitchen Cabinet doors warped -Guest Bathroom tub not level, leaking water -damaged soffit -defective living room ceiling fan -vinyl flooring improperly installed

We signed with this builder on 9/27/21 and was told they would complete the construction in 18 months. We have been charged several times for various things such as hurricane clean up and increase in pool building. We have made sure these were paid as soon as we got the invoice so we would not stall the process. House is still not finished and nobody can even inform us of the date it will be completed. I have seen 86 houses that have been started after they started and have been completed. Can they complete the building like the other contractors are doing.

We signed a contract April 1 2021 with builder was told it would take 12 to 14 month to complete. As of today Jan 4 2023 all that is finished is slab and walls. Was told yesterday it was going to be another 10 months! There are other homes they are doing that started 7 month ago and are at same stag. All we keep getting are excuses way nothing is done. For example the walls were completed Nov 25 2022 and nothing has been done since. A house next to me being done by another contractor started six months after mine is almost completed. Been told numerous of times shortages are due to delays but nobody else is expecting this. I have ask to talk to owner and construction supervisor for over a month, still no call back. All my draws are current , there has been no delays on are end! We need HELP!

Thank you for getting back with us . I did receive a call from the construction supervisor the same day Capitol Homes received complaint. We talked for a good hour and I let him know all of are concerns on the delays and the time it is taking for this build. He assured me he understood our frustrations on that and the lack of why this has happened. He gave me his word that the beam pour was going to happen the next day and job site would be cleaned up and dumpster would be on site. Im pleased to say that all has happened! He assured me that my house would be #1 priority on his list. We also went over a rough schedule for next steps in the build and timelines. I told him I hope we can continue on a positive path from here and finish this build soon.
