1. Took money without any signed documents or contracts 2. Continued to take money from account even after told not to proceed 3. Gave the runaround when tried to get a refund of approximately $800 for no services rendered 4. Contacted managing partner multiple times and he says everything is taken care of (which it wasn't)My girlfriend T ***** had an initial call with Van **** and agreed to move forward on a bankruptcy. While on the phone they took her payment information. She hung up, and then did some calculations and decided she couldn't proceed so she called Van **** back IMMEDIATELY. NO signed contract, NO signed agreement, NO consultation. They continued to pull money out of her bank account (and had done ZERO work on the case) - which she was finally able to stop from happening.She was working with **** ****, who gave her the runaround. he was supposed to consult with **** ****, the managing partner. At first **** responded favorable, then in one of my emails **** says "I was assured by all parties in my office that this has been resolved. If T has any questions she will have to reach out directly."...Which she did. **** **** has not followed through and has been as evasive as he can be, with no interest in assisting ****'s 8 months later, and they still have my girlfriend's money with no contracts, agreements, work done, or otherwise. If Van **** law Group makes this right we'll be happy to amend our reviews. If not, I would steer clear of this business. They can contact me at ***** at ************** or lookup emails from *****.***** at *************** OR simply contact ******, whose contact info they ******* girlfriend still has not filed for bankruptcy and is now $800 short of doing so. This angers me greatly as she is always telling me about people taking advantage of her and now I've had to witness it. It simply will not stand.

My significant other and I met with *************************, Managing Partner of the firm. **** told and promised us verbally that he personally would handle my case. That was a flat out lie. He did not. **** had multiple attorneys work on my case with each one of them leaving the firm during the time they handled my case so there was no consistency whatsoever. Not only was there no consistency, but none of the attorneys including ************************* provided me with a single idea on how best to approach the situation. I cant speak for any other Van **** Law Group clients and can only speak for myselfDO NOT HIRE VAN HORN LAW GROUP based on the 100% truthful information provided above.

I’ve been buried in student loan debt and needed help to find light at the end of this very long tunnel. i want to start by saying i prematurely wrote a review based on how excited i was by the sell job Mr. **** ******* did (see below) under this review. i came to **** ******* and his law group in **** need of help. like my review stated below i cane to him about some judgements i had. he knew they were judgements i was very clear about this i explained my concern about what if the lawyers that put the judgements on me wouldn't negotiate he made it clear that would never happen. "i am a lawyer i do this i'll take care of i" he didn't guarantee me anything but in so many words did, the word play was good. i gave mr **** ******* 6,000 that i didn't have to negotiate a debt i can't pay he put ******* on the job very sweet lady but immediately went into "judgements are hard to negotiate becuz they are ready went through the courts" in my head i'm thinking **** ! long story short all the judgements wouldn't negotiate and when i said uwhy would you take the job after i explained this over and over she said i'll have the attorney call you, **** call me abd said i don't qualify for bankruptcy but he will look deeper into what he can do because he can't make them accept our offer, (totally different tone after he was paid 6,000) so here i am 6,000 more in a hole that i was trying to get out of . back to square 1 except now 6,000 more in debt then started due to broken promises. i'm not mad but iimagine that a lawyer you trusted to do the right thing by you. That has a duty to do the right thing lets something like this just fly by?it's not my industry, i hired him because i believed i was hiring someone that had my financial disruption in their best interest.. i don't think I'm wrong, do you?

as you can see by my previous review i had extreamly high hopes.I'm not even mad I am disappointed.

my name is ***** *. so i have some old judgements against me, and looking to get things cleaned up, i googled and found van horn law group. i was contacted promptly and set up a consultation. my wife and i met with **** ******** the guy is super cool. listened didn't rush me, didn't sell me on fear just a great conversation and i felt this guy can help me. we hired him on the spot he wasn't the cheapest but wasn't the most expensive and being a business owner i wouldn't disrespect anyone on what they fee their time is worth. my review *** be a little pre mature being that it's a 2-3 month process and i hired him today but i felt extremely good and thinking my wife and i made the right choice. i'm really looking to get these judgements off my back and i believe **** ******* is the guy to make it happen. can't wait too get this moving along as fast as possible. i'll update review once services are done, i believe if the service goes as our meeting today it will be great!
