I hired Coastal Painting in 2020 to do a full building repaint in the ******************. The City required that they pull a painting permit, which Coastal did. Coastal painting never closed out their permit. The City is now contacting us to get them to close their permit. Coastal Painting keeps telling me they are working on it and have contacted the City. This is not true, they have not contacted the City. I even found out that they still Owe the City money for the permit they pulled. They need to finish what they started, reopen the permit, and call for the required inspection. Please finish the job you were hired to do.

I am rejecting this response because: This response is terrible. I have been emailing Coasting Painting since May 31st, looking through my records I have emailed them a total of 19 times from May 31st through July 22nd. I have also called but they use an answering service and they do not return phone calls. The ****************** has also called them three (3) times and left messages with no follow up from Coastal Painting. I have also called and texted with **** Key and now ********************* but they still have not paid for or renewed their permit. I find the complete lack of follow through unacceptable.

      Sincerely,

      ***************************

A notarized letter from Marc ******* was received by us yesterday and we are having our letter notarized today and will be sent to the city to reopen the permit. Our GC will be handling the inspection so we can close the permit.

Our community hired Coastal Painting last year (March 2021) to paint the walls, walkways, doors, shutters, three laundry rooms, and three storage rooms. The company offered us a 6 year warranty on the product and labor. Last December I reached out to the job supervisor ******** to have him return as there were numerous areas where the paint was flaking off. He told me he would contact me the following week to schedule a visit but he never called or took any other calls I made to him. In January we reached out to the company management for assistance:*********************** Chief **************************************** ******************************************************** ************** mobile ************ assured us that he would have his Director of Operations (**** ***) reach out to us and schedule a site visit to determine what was needed to address our concerns. After several email exchanges with Mr. **** he sent one of his employees named **** on February 10 to do a site visit. **** gathered the following notes for his report to Mr. ****** Many areas where paint has worn/chipped away.2 - Non-skid material was never applied to the walkway paint 3 - Time between power washing the walkways and painting them was too long (over a month).4 - *** Floor Sealer was never applied prior to painting the walkway.5 - Commitment to provide us with a spare bucket of the paints ******* ***** ****) so that we could touch up any areas as needed has not been completed. We have reached out to both ************ and Mr. *** on numerous occasions and both have ignored our communications to have them follow up on this request. We are filing this complaint with the BBB to hopefully have them re-engage with us to repair and complete the warranty work.

We apologize for the delay in getting back to you.

On the areas where paint seems to have failed, we will engage *** as the paint vendor to inspect them. We will also conduct our research whether or not the non-skid material and sealer were applied to the walkway, however it is standard practice to apply non-skid material. We do not typically commit to provide spare buckets of paints (white, blue, ****) unless this is on the contract. Regarding time between power washing and painting, this is an observation.

Our team will contact you shortly. If you have any questions or concerns, please call me at ***********.
