I brought my car to Sean because I had bought 4 new tires from him previously and was a happy customer. When my engine light came on the very first time.... I spoke to Sean's and his lovely wife explained that I'd love for him to be my mechanic. That they're in my neighborhood and my vehicle is a treasure, inherited from my deceased parents and need it to be safe and kept in good condition. I told them also that I drive back and forth to St. Petersburge to be with my grandchildren. Those things should matter when you own a business and have customer's from the neighborhood. My first repair was $1,368.56. I thought everything was fixed. A week later the engine light came on again and they blew out the lines again. Instead of dropping the gas tank and replacing it like we spoke about the first time he said just come in again and we'll blow out the lines again for nothing. Each time I had to drop my car off in the am and leave 4/5 days. The air was still occasionally blowing hot as when I first brought it in but he said it was a separate issue. Soon the engine light was on again. He blew out the lines again and repeated to me they'd have to do that for the rest of my vehicles life. This time the second bill I paid was $3,19.50. As soon as I got it back water's leaking from the air conditioner leaking down the passenger side floorboard. It never did that before. Nothing can explain almost $1,900.00 and still all the same issues only now I'm driving around for months and months with a soaking wet floorboard. I came in and complained not because I wanted to but because I've been sick over this exchange. I was nervous and at a loss for words. He was confusing me, bullied me.and sent me away crying more then once. I didn't do anything wrong. Sean acts like my car is a lemon and has no advice for me. Sean buys and sells cars. It's suspicious and I'm willing to take this to the highest. Too many senoirs live alone get taken advantage of. They're scared and timid.

      Business response

      03/23/2022

Business Response /* (1000, 6, 2022/03/01) */ The car has been in several times since we charged the a/c (no repair made just charged empty system) with a complaint the air stops blowing cold at times. This complaint could not be verified, by us or by the customer, we have kept the car several days and I drove it home several times with no issues. we cannot repair what we can not verify, the customer has been told this but doesn't seem to understand that when it is working every test is going to come back good. The a/c drain has plugged up and we have cleaned out several times at no charge, this could be from build up in the evaporator case, or from bugs nesting in wet drain tube, common problem in SW Florida . As for the gas tank, the vapor canister came apart and was replaced, we have flushed the lines several times and customer was told on the day of first repair it may need a tank, this was also printed on original invoice. Consumer Response /* (3000, 8, 2022/03/07) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) The car did blow hot air on the fourth day when I came in to see what was going on. There were two mechanics who had my car pulled up the engine running, and hot air was blowing from the air conditioner vent on the driver side as I originally told Sean the first time, I brought my car in. The first mechanic said, "it just started blowing hot when you came in"! The second mechanic came out of the garage with a part in his hand. He said it is the part my car needs and that my car will be ready the next day. I paid $319.00 on top of the $1,368.00 I paid a week earlier. Two days later I noticed the floorboard was soaking wet on the passenger side that had never leaked before. The leak is coming from under the glove compartment when I have the air conditioner running. Also, the car still blows hot air only on the driver side and that's occasional. Once in a week or sometimes once every three weeks. Sean expects me to bring the car in when it blows hot, but he closes at 5 and is closed Saturday and Sunday. When I turn the air completely off, it will continues to blow on high. Still, fueling has become difficult. Consumer Response /* (4200, 12, 2022/03/22) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I have 2 receipts. I have them in a secure folder and need help sending them, but they add up to 1,688.06. Everything I brought the car in for is still broken plus a leak on the floorboard after the 'repair' of the air conditioner. I been sent away each time I came in for help. This is a 2005 Cadilac Escalade my deceased parent's left to me in 2018. It had only 65 thousand miles on it. I was prepared to; and kept it in good condition. When the engine light came on, I brought it to Seans auto. My neighborhood auto repair shop. After $1,688.06 I Have all the same issues plus now a bad leak coming from the air conditioner. I'm not a mechanic so when Sean explains to me the reason's there's nothing more he can do, even I know he is full of it! I would like my money back.
