Date of transaction - 3/7/22 - at that time this company came to our house to fix a broken garage. The receipt that I received stated that they replaced 2 springs at that time and that there was a 1-year warranty on the springs. The same garage was again not working yesterday so we called this company back. We waited on hold for over 45 minutes the first time we called and then another 30 minutes the second time we called. After 2 failed attempts we contacted another company that came out to fix the door. They had to again replace the springs and said that one was new from 2021 but the other one was from ****. So, this company charged me for 2 new springs, but did not replace both and as a result the new one was ****** worn from having to do most of the work. I had to pay again for 2 new springs even though I never received them to begin with and this company doesn't answer their phone, so they are unable to stand by their warranty!

I had this company Top Garage Door LLC install four garage door panels. Two panels for a two car garage door and two more panels for a single car garage door . Now the two car garage door is making a popping noise. It did not have that noise before they started working on the panels. I have called several times and they said someone will be there from 1-3PM. No one has showed up. I just want this company to correct their mistake. Im planning to take legal action against Top Garage Door LLC.

Contacted this company to repair my garage door. The previous system that I had was working fine, I just needed to have my door reattached. The tech advised me to change the motor. Trusting that the tech knew what was best, I went ahead and changed the system. Only 7 days after the installation the garage motor began to malfunction. I have made several attempts to contact the company and NO One will answer. Why sell a product that you know is subpar?? I repeatedly asked the technician if the equipment was new and he assured me that it was. They took $1990 from me and now will not provide the service that they promised. I do not understand how this company is still on business. Please do something regarding this company.

Top Garage showed up at 7PM to install new weatherstripping for bottom of garage door. Wanted cash $200.00 and my mother paid the man and then he stated I owed him a tip. Very lucky for this man that he was at my parents house and not mine. This sounds like all the other reviews and after 3 days the weaterstripping is falling off. Finally another person showed up not the installer and he wanted to see the receipt as I if I was lying to him. Then the second person said he would be coming back today but the job was not done right and will be an additional $175.00.No show as of 4PM. Sounds familiar huh?

Top Garage Technician came to our home on 07/27/2022 for our *********** Garage door opener (which had previously been installed by them) the unit was not operating correctly. He installed 2 new door sensors and charged us $704.00 which would have been ok if that was the problem however my daughter was on the phone with *********** while the tech was doing this change out. He never checked to see if in fact the sensors were bad and in fact they were not bad it was actually the main board (*********** is sending out a new mother board). As a matter of fact after putting in the new sensors the garage door still didn't close he just took the $704.00 (had us Zelle the money to an account directly) my husband has ********* and he collected from me and my husband we are elderly and he bullied us into paying before we figured out that the door opener wasn't fixed at all. we called the company to have him return to get our money back and he could put our sensors back on but they would not agree to that at all and with ***** it is a final payment (I also just found that out too) my daughter told him not to leave the door wasn't fixed he just got into the car and drove away we are on a fixed income as many seniors are so being taken advantage of and then ignored when we try to get resolution is very disheartening

On July 21, 2022 my husband called Top Garage Doors because the garage door was making a loud sound when we raised it. He was told we needed new sensors that the old sensors on my garage were not working properly. My husband advised the tech we had a new set of spare sensors we had bought a couple years ago that we could use. We were told it would be the same charge to install our sensors or their new ones because of the labor involved. Plus their sensors came with a two year warranty. Then he told us that we needed all the rollers replaced and again that came with a two year warranty. Total cost $925. We agreed to the work thinking the work would be properly done. When he was done, my husband paid with his credit card. He ran the card through his devise and handed it to my husband for signature. He noticed that his options were add 15% or 20% tip so he asked how he could waive the tip. The tech replied, just sign and press okay. It turns out that the tech misguided us and gave himself a $138.75. To make matters worse, it turns out all the tech did was cut the wires to the sensors, splice the wires, and s**** in the new sensors. He never replaced the entire run of wires. He didn't even cap or tape the wires. he left them bare. He basically left us with a fire and or electrical hazard. In addition, the door now comes up when it reaches the bottom. it doesn't make as much noise but you have to watch it till it closes because otherwise it can just go back up. I called the very next day, Friday, July 22nd, 2022 when we noticed the issues with the door and the tip and I was told that the tip would be refunded on Monday and come back out no later than Tuesday. I'm still waiting for both 5 days later. Oh, and they promised a two year warranty but it's written no wear on their receipt. Not even the fine print. I called again earlier today and was promised a supervisor would call me back within a few minutes. Again I'm still waiting. They basically scammed.

On March 16, Top Garage Door installed a gate motor on my gate. It worked sporadically and they sent someone to adjust it. It stopped working and I have called ten times because it should be under warranty, but they did not provide me an instruction book, model number, or receipt that shows the type of motor I bought, so I cannot initiate a claim. Every time I call ************, a woman who answers says they have my file open, they have my records, they will send the info I need and a supervisor will call me. They tell me they cannot disclose the name of a supervisor or transfer my call, nor disclose their physical address.

My mother's automatic garage door opener stopped working properly. I called Top Garage to come do an inspection and to repair the garage door. I asked their initial fee for an inspection which was stated as $19. This seemed reasonable so they were allowed to come to inspect. Only my mother was home (she lives alone). The technician gave her a repair estimate that is 5 to 10 times higher than the actual cost should be. It includes a charge of $1384 for a lifetime warranty on a $250 spring; a charge of $1275 on a $100 belt; a charge of $1350 for a $225 H/D Drum; and $650 for 2-3 hours of labor. My mother is hard of hearing and is starting to become less savvy than in her past. She would never have agreed to this kind of an estimate even just a year or two ago. There are laws against the exploitation of elderly people in the **************** by unscrupulous business people. This business has taken advantage of an elderly person. I have called and asked them to reduce the charges to what is a reasonable charge. They initially offered a 10% discount. That is not even close to enough to approach the actual cost of this repair. They need to give an 80% reduction to reach a fair price.
