I made reservations through Booking.com. I canceled due to State of Emergency per ******* Governor/Evacuations due to Hurricane ***. I was charged a penalty. I spoke with Booking first, no help. I contacted Hotel, they gave me option of a credit for future, BUT when I asked details on that several times, they did not respond. I would now like a refund for being ignored after them offering credit, but not responding to a future stay of $454.05, they are not keeping their word. I attached booking, cc charge, and texts from them stating a credit/future travel.Travel dates: 9/24-9/28 Res/conf# **********Initial Complaint

We checked out of Postcard Inn's Pelican Cove location on 8/21/22. Check-out is at 11 check-ins are at 4. After driving back to the ************** airport and checking in through security we realized we had left my wife's wallet in the hotel room safe (roughly 3 hours after checkout). I called the Postcard Inn as Pelican Cove doesn't have an office and runs through Postcard Inn instead around 4:00 pm again 3 hours after checking out. I told them what had happened and asked if someone could open the safe and mail the wallet back to us as we couldn't get back to the location that day. At first, they would only say that no one could check because housekeeping was gone for the day. I asked if I could speak to a manager and they said no because management was gone for the day. I asked if someone could please check the room as we really needed to secure the wallet as it has all my wife's identifying information and credit cards. After 30min or so on hold she told me that the safe was open and no wallet. I asked who had access to the safe to open it and she said I needed to talk to a manager and to call back tomorrow. I pushed further as it was crucial we found out. She hung up on me. I called back and asked why she hung up and she denied it. I ended up filing a police report after and the local department followed up with the hotel saying the same thing. The safe was open no wallet. I called back the next day and they said management checked the room when I called yesterday I said I was told no management was there during that time and they assured me they were. I said can I speak with whomever that was and they said no. All I wanted is to speak with a manager to see who had access or to get anyone to say sorry let's see what we can do and all we can get is no. Now they won't answer their phones. I called their sister property Amara Cove they couldn't get in touch with anyone either. I called the corporate company **************** and they have no record of the manager.
