In April 2022 we filed a mortgage loan application with VanKeef Financial and Paid $5100 to lock in a mortgage interest rate of 5% until 12/31/2022 for our new home that was under construction to be completed in November 2022. October 2022 we go to contact VanKeef to proceed with our loan application as we are ready to close on the new house to find out that all the phone lines are disconnected and the website is no longer active. We were not given a heads up or any notice. We are now out of our lock rate deposit and scrambling to find a new lender with an inflated interest rate.
