      On 12/04/2023 I concluded a contract for the replacement of windows, doors and siding. I made a down payment of $7,350 and am waiting. So far, nothing has been done, even though the contract guaranteed that all work would be completed in January. I kept reminding myself and was always promised that the work would be done. Today 02/15/24 they arrived with two doors and both doors are wrongly measured and do not fit.I don't know what will happen to the windows? I made a contract with them only because they assured me that everything would be done by the end of January. We are leaving for Europe on March 10, 2024 and will not return until November 1, 2024. I am very disappointed and angry with AMS. They lie and don't keep their word. I have the right to think that they are frauds. We leave in 24 days and we have nothing.I do not recommend this company to anyone!

      We apologize for the temporary inconvenience that was given to this customer ,as there were many reasons. none were at the fault of the consumer and we took full responsibility .       On 12/22/2022 I contacted AMS WC **** for an estimate to replace the sunroom sliding windows on a mobile home I had just purchased. I chose this company because the advertised as being a frequently used company in my senior mobile home community. the next day 12/23/22 company representative *************************** came to inspect the windows and give me an estimate. His opinion was that the windows and tracks were old and worn out and that the drains no longer worked. He advised that new vinyl sliders would be the only solution. the cost would be $3800. He also advised me that the wall above and below the windows would have to be removed and was not something they would replace that I would have to have that done separately at a separate cost. I signed with them and gave them my deposit of $1100. I was also told it would take several weeks for the windows to come in due to high demand.On 02/04/2023 a one man crew came to remove the old windows and wall and install the new windows. The job was completed the same day. One week later it rained and the sunroom flooded, water was coming from the bottom of the window and running out from behind the new wall. I called AMS WC and spoke to ***** who sent out a man the next day the man said it was a caulking issue and proceeded to "fix" the issue, after about two hours he said the job was done and left. The windows continued to leak heavily and now I have mold growing behind my new wall. I have spoken to ***** numerous times and he has been out a couple of times to add more caulk and unplug the drains. this is an ongoing issue and i can no longer use my sunroom due to mold. ***** continues to say he doesn't know what to do...I have requested that the windows be replaced but Have gotten no response. this has been going on for almost a year.

      Good morning, sorry for late response but i could not open the complaint. I met with both ******* and ***** this morning to go over the complaint. and will see what we can do. and will get back to you on a better response. Just a few thoughts for now. This is a screen room with removable windows not a habitable space for wood and interior furniture. The sticker on the windows says to be removed when wind speeds exceed 75 mph. which is a fact that they are not to be considered fully waterproof. they are simply designed as windbreakers and owners should use discretion when considering how they plan to use the space. I've asked ******* to go back to look over the project and make sure we have done nothing wrong. We did pull a permit and the job was inspected by a Pinellas County inspector and was passed. Please give us a few days for further response. *********************** AMS WC ****

      I am rejecting this response because:  I was never informed by the sales rep that these windows were not fully waterproof.  I showed him the damage to the wall below the windows that had suffered water damage and had molded and his response to me was along the lines of "the newer type of windows that we use are made to fit much tighter and you shouldn't have that problem again."  Also, there are no stickers on my windows and i was never informed of the 75-mph wind removal.  I have since contacted 2 window companies for an evaluation. 1 company said that they could drill deeper weep holes in the existing windows for a cost of $750.00, the 2nd company advised that adding an aluminum awing would probably be the best solution at a cost of $2,629.90 which I simply cannot afford on my fixed income. There is also the issue of the wall damage below the windows.  I feel that I was not informed completely of all the issues that could arise by your sales representative and he was only interested in making a sale.  I am currently battling lung cancer and I am afraid to use this room because of the mold. I am willing to have the windows looked at again by ******* and listen to any suggestions he may have.

      Our intention is to do everything in our power to reinspect the said window / windbreaker units to make sure they were installed correctly . Per conversation with ******* our field sale rep the room contains 11 units and the owner only wanted 6 replaced, there is also a screen door with windbreaker inserts . The screen patio is not built to receive glass windows which is the only way to close in a room for livable occupancy and ashore a dry environment. after inspection if there is anyway to help in this matter we will take care of it and not charge the home owner .       I am rejecting this response because:    I have received no contact from anyone to come out and reinspect the windows. Also, the only windows leaking is the front 6 only. There is no leaking from the side windows or the door, that is why I did not have them replaced. I am completely open to having the windows reinspected for proper installment. Again, I feel like your salesman totally misrepresented the efficacy of these windows, he told me about none of the restrictions or limits that you have made me aware of.  I will be waiting for contact from the local office.

      As per our conversation , ******* was there 4/11/2023 right after a full day of rain . upon his inspection no water leaks were visible . I also requested he give me his report as to weather we did not do a proper installation . He said all looks good just as the building inspector did . Again ,The vinyl units are wind breakers and during certain rain storms with strong wind these units can leak . PS. He knocked on home owners door but no response and car was in the driveway . *********************** AMS WC INC

      AMS installed windows and doors apx in April 2023. the total of project was ******. The installer cut the windows instead of taking siding off which in turn caused a mess of my siding. the contract says 2 1/2 molding around the windows. Since the installer cut the molding, he had to cover the windows and put 4-5 inch molding around all my windows, which i specifically said i wanted 2 /1/2 inch molding as per the contract. All this molding is a shabby job from AMS. we have been trying to resolve this issue with AMS but they have not responded to us since June. The owner wants to put new siding on which we did say we were interested in new siding but not for a year or 2. He came back with an estimate of ****. Now why would i want to give them **** after they messed up my windows. A total of ****** would be what i shell out to fix the siding his installer screwed up. AMS said they dont make the color of my manufactured home and in order for him to make a profit and pay his workers, he can the siding for ****. No thank you. and if they contact us they would know this. Either they can reimburseus **** or do the siding for alot less. but for us to shell out **** more to fix this is crazy.

      AMS and I have come to agreement on the fixing of my home from when his installer installed windows wrong. We will be getting it all fixed in November 2023. So the issue disputed has been fixed and a contract signed on fixing the home.

      I contracted AMS US **** to renovate my entire Sunroom with a Lifetime Warranty. This ***luded new a ceiling, new walls new wiring, and lighting, and a new A/C, and also all new floor length Windows, & new Doors. this was completed to the sum of Appox: $7,600.00 & we were completely satisfied. I noticed in Feb. of 2022 the Windows were fogging up from the inside. I calledd AMS & spoke to a ****************** & asked him to come and look at the situation, but he refused saying that the Windows were not under his Warranty. His only covered the work he performed & the Window Warranty was out of date. At that time I decided to call ViWin Tech the producer of the Window glass, and spoke to Mr. ************************* **************. I explained the situation and asked about his Warranty being outdated. He then looked up the order & said the Warranty was still intact & he would make it good & he still had all of the measurements. He did say that Windows leadtime was about 12 weeks. He sent me a copy of the order stating that all of the Window glass would be delivered to AMS US *** on Aug. 8th 2022. I then called *********************** was livid & proceeded to say I would have to pay him $500.00 to complete his Lifetime Warranty & that it would have to be paid before he would start. I told him no way was I going to pay for his Warranty. ****************** contacted him stating when the glass would arrive at his place of business. Aftter that ****************** called me & thretened me saying that when the glass arrived he would set them in the middle of my yard. I have tried to cantaact several ********** will not accsept any of my calls nor will return an messages. It is now Aug 31st with no resolusion. I desperately need your help to resolve this major problem. my Windows are the kind that you can see out, but not in. I have those because I live on a small *************** has those for privacy.       In response to owners complaint , The warranty is a manufacturer warranty which is given to all customers on completion of work contracted . The warranty stated that after 10 years the glass warranty is dropped to 25% which is to be paid by customer to manufacturer , they were willing to send new glass only to owner at no cost via delivery to our location in Largo .( The windows that were installed are no longer available from the manufacturer) . AMS WC *** per our contract gives a 1 year warranty on all installations period . As the customer stated this is not a installation issue , but a manufacturer failure . I did initially make an offer to owner to reglaze the glass for $500.00 , however we or any of our employees are not  licensed window glazers and therefore advised owner we could not reglaze the units and he should seek a qualified ****** to complete his work . And to understand my offer to owner I stated we would deliver the glass to his home at no cost once we received them , Not throw them in his yard . The manufacturer has admitted to the failure of the glass and has offered to send new glass only, so they should be offering owner to offset the cost of reglazing the windows to the owner , and simple leave us out of this situation. PS. I do have backup conversations between **************** and myself if needed , I was not rude to him but simple stating the facts , which he didn't like . I stand  as explained . *********************** AMS WC ***.

      I am rejecting this response because: ****************** is a total liar!! First he's denying his part of the Warrranty and did say that he would set the refered glass in my front yard. Also AMS WS **** should be responsible for the reglazing of the windows if he doesn't want to replace the windows that 
      were sent to him by the glass Mfg. The correct repair of my windows are Mr. ************** responsibility, not mine. The only thing Mr. * knows about Warranty is how to spell it. ****************** at VinWin Tech stated that he has completed his portion of the Warranty, and now it was up to AMS US **** to complete their part. ****************** also lied when he stated that he was in correspondence with me. I had tried to call him several times after the glass was delivered to him, and he would not return any of my calls. I don't feel that I should have to pay any amount of his stated ********. I now ask that you the BBB to find in my favor, and have the *************** come down from his Ivory Tower, and complete the work that he is responsible for.
