I brought my boat to Walkers Marine for repair. The major repair was to the center outboard engine (Mercury Verado 300 HP). The shift actuator had to be replaced. On December 28, 2022 I received an invoice in the amount of ******** for the repairs unrelated to the shift actuator. I paid this invoice by credit card. The replacement of the shift actuator is under warranty with Mercury Marine. On February 20, 2023 I received an invoice for $4,016.83 for the cost of the warranty work to replace the shift actuator. Without gaining my authorization, Walker Marine charged the credit card that I used in December for the $4,016.83 for the cost of the warranty work.I have spoke to Mercury Marine, and the shift actuator is under warranty. They indicated Walker Marine never filed a warranty claim as they should have to receive payment.I have spoke multiple times to ***************** in Walker Marine's service department and to *****, the general manager. My last conversation with ***** was on March 22, 2023. He indicated the charge to my credit card was in error, he apologized and indicated a credit to my credit card would be processed within the next day or two. As or today, April 6, 2023 there is no credit from Walkers Marine on my credit card.Walker Marine has my money, money I do not owe them, and did not authorized them to charge my credit card. I would like the help of the Better Business Bureau to resolve this issue.

This specific to the ************** location in Naples Florid . On July 11th 2022 my boat went in for its 100 hour service as well as an issue with the waste tank. They called to let me know that they found another issue with the lower unit on one motor and if ok to repair, I provided the OK. The motors were fixed and I was told the waste tank issue would be addressed by the end of the next week I called on 7/20 to follow,up, no return call, called me emailed at the end of the week to be told they would get to it the next week. At the end of the next week I planned to go out and called to ensure the work was done, it was not but would get done the following week. I called again the week of 7/25 and was told they found a through hull leak east.y where they were investigating my waste tank issue. I told them there was no leak when I took the boat out of the water as I checked that area 10 minutes prior to the boat going in dry stack. Regardless, I approved them to fit it as I just wanted my boat back. I escalated to the General manager and was assured it would be resolved. I scheduled the boat for a launch the rolling Monday. I turn up at the marina to not only find one motor not working but the bilge full of water and still leaking. They diagnosed the motor issue as the starter and repaired under warranty. This week they told me the leak was also repaired but the waste tank issue was not but would be repaired shortly. I said that was ok as long is the leak was repaired, they assured me it was. Today August 28 I go to use the boat only to find the leak is still there and worse than before, my bow cover is missing and the entire boat smells musty. In my now *********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************** my own tech unless I pay walkers an additional 20% mark up. All of this is outrages and nobody seems to care

      - Arrived from Europe after the travel ban on the 11th of November, went to Walkers Marine the day after, since I could not start the boat ( had them serviced my boat in the years before ) - We agreed on bringing the boat in for a total service , but since I could not start it, the mechanic came out on Tuesday 23rd at around 1100. Tried to jumpstart it, did not work. Although beeing a mobile service, they had to get back to the office to get a starter battery. They hooked up the battery and now the engine started but blew up the belt after 30 seconds. So we agreed on place that the mechanic will exchange the alternator and the water pump, assuming one of these two were frozen up. - I went back to the shop on the 29th of November and this time I was told, that Walkers marine do not service stern drives anymore , so they won't do any work on my boat ( ??????????????????????????? ) . - All of a sudden : at first we agreed on a service and now all of a sudden, they just don't want to do it anymore - But at the same time a got a bill over ( Number XXXXX ) XXX.- USD. for a battery, that I never bought, for 2 hours of work ( 2 hours of work = 298.- USD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ) : You can't legally lure in people, knowing exactly what kind of boat he has , since they have done some services on it - and then all of a sudden break the contract. - Went back to the office and was told, that if I dispute the bill ( was charged on my bank account, the same moment, they wrote the bill ) , they would not refund the money for the battery . This is just cheating .... i don't go for a criminal case - me beeing an international lawyer - because I know how it is handled ... Would be nice if you could make the necessary steps to bring Walkers marine in a behaviour that is legal, fair and respect common sense.
