      Hello,

      I'd like to update the complaint. They've refunded the money but their reputation online is horrible.

      I've seen numerous complaints of no refunds or shipping that was delayed for months.
      Their scam of charging thousands of dollars for shipping internationally on a 16 dollar item 

      and their reputation do not make me remotely trust them.  That was very deceptive.
      Please look in to both kidrobot AND globalshopex.

       

      If you can't do much I understand please consider my specific complaint resolved in this case.

      date-FEB 20,2023 amount paid- ***** they were to ship the item internationally as they are linked with New ********** Nature of dispute- Havent received any updates on order or shipping since money was paid I have contacted the business on several accounts and they provide no information. There is one lady who works in the whole customer service department who only responds to the emails and every time she just says let me check and never gets back to me.Account order number- order-****** NO TRACKING HAS BEEN GIVEN I made several payments via the new ********** back issues to purchase back issues newspapers, however GlobalShopex deals with all international shipping. They refused my payments 3 times and eventually the only way i could purchase these newspapers was by sending a direct bank transfer to them, which at the time i was a bit skeptical as if its a big company why was my original debit and paypal payment not received.They received my money and said they would get back to me when the shipment was being delivered. Its been a month now and I keep emailing the one person who only responds from this company and she says ill check, but why cannot they locate my order if its all paid. I will further report them and now i need my money back as they obviously arent sending the purchase.I dont understand why new ********** deals with an international shipping company that doesn't deliver.

      Good afternoon,
             As indicated by the customer, his payment was, unfortunately, refused a few times due to fraud detection filters being triggered causing the transactions to be declined. For this reason, we offered the customer to send a bank transfer as an alternative payment option.
      An email with the local tracking information was sent to this customer on March 30th shortly after the package cleared customs in ****** and according to the tracking information system, this package was delivered on April 4th.

      Globalshopex.com communicated with me stating that I needed to pay an additional US$168.00 after the order was submitted, including an initial shipping and handling cost of CAN$33.76. They admitted that this normally happens when the actual volumetric weight isn't reflected correctly in their system and causes a disruption in their estimations, and so results in an incorrect quote upon checkout. This is an unacceptable, and comes off as a devious practice.

         We are sorry for the customer's disappointment regarding the extra shipping costs and the inconvenience this may have caused. However, as indicated in our terms and conditions, to which the customer has to agree before placing the order. It may be possible that the shipping cost for an order turns out to be higher than originally estimated. Generally this may occur when the actual volumetric weight is not reflected correctly in our system, which caused a disruption in the shipping estimations and costs. Globalshopex usually tries to handle this sort of problem internally, but in some cases it is forced to pass part of the costs to the customer. ******************** reserves the right to adjust the shipping cost of an order for reasons such as excessive weight or oversize items. These cases are rare and we will always contact the customer for authorization to proceed, alternatively the customer has the option to cancel the order. In this particular case, the customer has approved the extra cost as you can see in the attachment.
