We had very bad experiences with Lennar on the lack of communication. breach of contract, and moving the closing date. Im also a veteran was prequalified for the loan. The contract doesnt say anything about selling another current home in order to purchase a new home. The sales team and the builders are bad communication skills sounds so sketchy on their part all alway around on their end. I recommend people dont go with them at all mostly in the ************** area. We have learned our ****** from them.Lennar Mortgage, LLC Response

No stars. I have attempted to get a mortgage with Lennar 3 times. The first time I turned down flat. The second time i was ghosted by the loan officer without them even looking at my tax and income documentation. The third time was given 3 different preapprovals - that were each walked back after the underwriters and the loan determined they did not have the proper documentation - the last one on the day before I was scheduled to look at the houses. Why would a company give out a preapproval if they did not have all of the documentation to make that decision.I believe that Lennar discriminates again current homeowners because they only wish to sell homes to those currently renting. I was asked to have my current home under contact prior to signing any purchase order for a new home. I have the income to pay 2 mortgages. There have been several glaring inconsistencies in their policies.DON NOT BUY FROM LENNAR!Lennar Mortgage, LLC Response

This is the worst company I have ever had to deal with. They have put me through so much having me sign documents and then told me I was clear to close. 2 days before closing they called me and told me I was not approved due to a collection on my previous house which was not true. I sold my previous home and if there were any outstanding debt It would have been addressed in the sale of the home. After checking the debt they told me that it had nothing to do with my previous home it was a personal loan that had been paid off years ago and was not in collections.Lennar Mortgage, LLC Response

Got approved for 5% with 10% down thats what I can afford monthly payments. Put $34k deposit and the day prior to closing the lennar mortgage needed the tax transcripts on my business. I got a loan denial because of debt to income. The builder refuses to refund my deposit since its been 2days past 30days period! The only way to get full deposit back is to get a loan denial that they offered AFTER the 30day period!!! My debt to income is not enough, i dont have any more money for down payment and NOW the only option they offered is 8% interest that will increase the monthly payments or loose the depositLennar Mortgage, LLC Response

Shame on you Lennar. Encouraging people to put themselves in financial straits and threatening them that if they dont they will never get their down payment back. 2 mortgages is never good. Our housing market has tanked in the last couple of months due to interest rates and people arent buying. Lennar is offering 4.62% mortgage rates on new construction. How do we compete with that? Reached out to our Lennar contact and basically we were told too bad so sad take out 2 mortgages or were keeping your money. Six months ago they were going to work with us and now forget it. They are even nasty and threatening. My house will eventually sell but Ill never buy a Lennar.Lennar Mortgage, LLC Response

I hate that I have to write this bad review but this process was so stressful and I wish it on no one. I waited over a month to write this review so I wouldn't be so much in my feelings. But every time I think about it I get anxiety and upset again. I really think I need to see a therapist. Going through the financial part was very draining from the middle to just about the last hour. My husband and I have bought and sold several houses and have never experienced ANYTHING like this. We had to submit some of the same documents more than 2 times and what tops it off their paperwork cam back with wrong information/numbers "at the last hour." Explanations were not valid. Communication between the different people (from the same company) conflicted. We would receives emails that said we were good to go but then we would get a phone call and/or an email from someone else saying that we needed to submit MORE documents (weren't approved yet). It came down to the day before (or what we like to call the last hour), and we still weren't approved yet and had to submit more documents that had nothing to do with the financing part. By this time they should've just told us that we weren't approved instead of dragging it this long. We had been hiding all of our stressing from our child but on the last day I couldn't hold it in any longer. Our child saw me crying, fussing, and cussing. I had to apologize to our child. Even our closing appointment wasn't communicated to us properly. Others may not have had this experience because they went through another lender. I pray that they get better so others don't have to go through this. I'm still traumatized. Our home is beautiful. I'm keeping a close eye, annotating, and reporting the things that are wrong before the warranties expire. My ****** review wouldn't submit if I put one star, so i put 5 stars w/ a much shorter bad comment. I'm praying for past, present, and future customers. Lennar HAS to do better.Lennar Mortgage, LLC Response

I purchased a Lennar Home in October 2023. The Loan sold to Freedom Mortgage January 1, ****. Apparently, the January 1 **** tax bill got left in limbo. Someone dropped the ball. I ended up having to pay it to the tune of ******. My mortgage payment includes ****** per month for taxes and insurance. SHAME ON YOU LENNAR MORTGAGE!!!!!!! Stay away from Lennar both as a builder and a mortgage company. They do not even deserve a 1 star.
