okay 3 week ago we had a rain storm and i have had my roof done with this company 3 year ago and i have ten year warranty and they say they are coming and they never do i have message from the owner but never showed up i have the paper workBusiness response

we did ***** roof year 2018 not 3 years ago like his saying. We don't have anything signed by him with our company. Plus throughout the years I'm sure they has been a tropical storm which under our contract if he has a valid contract with dafam roofing we don't cover tropical storm or mother nature. There isn't any records a permit was pulled for this property but We have gone out there to try and fix his roof even though there isn't anything signed by ***** under our contract. Work completed for a new roof provided a 10 year warranty. I have called, left messages for the owner and emailed the business but no response to date. The warranty has 4 years remaining. I have reached out to the company several times but they refuse to respond. The roof is leaking and they need to honor their warranty.Business response

GOOD AFTERNOON
I SPOKE TO SOMEONE FROM BBB OVER THE ***** AND EXPLAINED THE SITUATION WITH THIS COMPLAINT. UPON SEEING THE ATACHED DOCUMENTS AND LOOKING THROUGH OUR FILES WE CAME TO SEE THAT THIS JOB WAS DONE BY A ******* THAT IS NO LONGER EMPLOYED BY OUR COMPANY. AS WELL AS NOT DOCUMENTING THIS JOB IN COMPANY FILES THEREFORE WE HAD NO PRIOR KNOWLEDGE. SINCE THEN WE HAVE SPOKEN TO SAID CLIENT AND COME TO A RESOLUTION

I am rejecting this response because:
of the 10 day window requirement on the consumer to respond as to the acceptability of Dafam Roofings response and due to the work not yet being started much less completed. The individual I originally dealt with on behalf of the company came to my house to see the damage which they acknowledged was work they had previously done and covered under their warranty but nothing has been done to date. Several appointments have been scheduled and canceled by them but no work has yet been done. I was notified today of a possible appt on Wednesday 8/16/2023 but due to the 10 day window provided to the consumer to respond and advise as to whether the companys response was satisfactory I cannot wait until then as the 10 days would be over on 8/13/2023 or 3 days before this next possible appointment. I am still waiting for this company to do what they stated they would do per their warranty. I will notify the BBB if the work ever gets done and whether done satisfactorily. For now I am asking the BBB to stay involved in this claim as I do not feel comfortable that this company will respond and do the right thing if the BBB is no longer involved. If for whatever reason the work does not get done I request that my review become permanently published on the BBB site for the benefit and protection of the public. Given the way Ive been treated up to this point by this company I am not expecting a good outcome - unfortunately. Hopefully I DaFam Roofing will act responsibly and do the right thing in this situation and will stand corrected but that is not what I am truly expecting at this point in time. We will see if they honor their warranty and make the necessary repairs and stand by their work / word. As far as the business owners comment about the ******* doing this job without their knowledge and on his own, if that is true I was completely unaware of that and have nothing to do with that. To my knowledge I was dealing with Dafam Roofing and at no point in time did I have any reason to believe that I was not dealing with Dafam Roofing. I am still waiting for the repairs / work to be done. I will keep the BBB informed of this matter. Thank you for your much needed assistance and intervention.
