DO NOT HIRE AMARO BUILDERS INC! ONE STAR IS TOO MANY!!!!All I can say is ****** and ******** really sucked ** in and spit ** out. Absolutely everything said in these reviews is true. We hired them to renovate our house 6 years ago and are still paying the price! They took 2+ years to renovate our tiny home. They have cost us literally tens of thousands of dollars SINCE we parted ways. We tried to do our do-diligence using ******* looking for referrals, etc., but they got us.Has anyone else mentioned that they begin sucking you in by showing you beautiful homes, beautiful work, that is not theirs? They have got their routine down! ****** begs for money, and ******** bullies you if things don't go her greedy way. She tries to convince you to accept obviously inferior products and gets real angry if you don't. They make promises they have NO intention of keeping. I can't even list the things they did wrong, that we're still discovering. We built 2 beautiful showers that we had to completely rebuild after only 2 years because they did not put ANY waterproofing in the walls and randomly drilled nails into the curb and pan. They did come, made promises, and we never saw them again. Our seashell limestone travertine was sanded on corners all over the place. You can't do that!! You see it, and ****** doesn't help. And there is a crack that runs clear across our dining room. Plumbing that is not level. ******** in a knot that makes it impossible to access. Doors and drawers that hit, and a recirculating stove-top hood vent that was never.. hooked.. up. Every day we discover something new. We came to the conclusion that they must have been learning on our house but it appears they didn't learn a thing. It sounds like they are not even trying. Can't someone stop builders like this? Isn't this what the BBB is for?We know we sound like idiots but we aren't the professionals . We tried, we used ******* and caught many things...but not enough. WARNING!! -0 STARS

Little to no communication. Has repeatedly told us that someone is coming to complete our simple bathroom remodel and not showing up. Demolished our bathroom over two months ago and all weve gotten done is paint. No one answers the phone or returns calls. They take your money and run. Weve used this company in the past and had a decent experience but this has been ridiculous.

It has been 3 months since I last posted this warning against this business AMARO BUILDERS in SWF area. Beware of the owners/managers Carolina and Kemais. They do not show up to work, they do not return calls, texts, or emails. No one has shown up to work in my home for at least 3 weeks now. All of my issues remain. The word around town is that they are not paying their contractors or vendors what is owed to them. Also, they have called me asking for "advance" payment on several occasions. They have missed two completion dates. The first was Dec 01 and the second was Mar 15. The project is no where near completed. There is still no quartz on counters, no flooring, no doors, and no finishes. If you are their client, my warning is that this company is behaving like a business that is going under soon, so please do not pay them anymore money, as they are not fulfilling their obligations. It is too late for me, as I have already paid them $90,000. Do not hire AMARO BUILDERS. Steer clear of Carolina and Kemais. If you have already hired them, start making plans to void your contract and try to salvage as much as you can before it is too late. BBB forces me to leave a star rating, but ONE star is too many for this business.

Amaro Builders was hired with a with 60% down payment to do a full house remodel in Feb 2021 with a commitment to start the project in April 2021 that would completed by July 2021. The remodel didn't start until August 2021. They came in and demo'd the house and then it sat demo’d for over 4 months. Amaro made commitments every week to do work yet nothing got done. The house was unlivable for 5 months with no working plumbing, no bathrooms, no kitchen, and piles of garbage everywhere. They continued to not show up and not to work. They busted a water pipe during one of the bathroom demos and let water drain in a bucket for 5 days without fixing it. Water ended up flooding the bathroom and part of the bedroom. They only finally got it fixed after I called them and threaten to file a formal contractor complaint with Lee county. They would leave for the weekend with all the lights on the place unlocked. At one point they left the front door wide open with the key in the lock. There was garbage in the yard throughout the project including lays chip bags, soda cans, water bottles etc just thrown anywhere. We would try to call and text the project manager day after day, week after week, with no response. They would recommit to a date saying they were going to put everyone on the project, yet that date would come and go with nothing done. We agreed to all the specs before signing the contract, yet at every point of the project they had no idea what they were supposed to be doing. All the work that was done was of poor quality. Somehow they managed to shatter the screen on our new 60” TV and never replaced it. They did finally finish almost 7 months later than agreed to and only when they wanted the final payment. The office is extremely poorly run and can never answer questions if you call them. I would not recommend Amaro Builders and regret that we hired them.

Buyer beware. These guys have skipped town and taking money from folks. Report them to Collier County DA office. Stealing thousands from people. They have disconnected their phone number also.

Run don't walk. They take your money and do not do the work. The little they do is sloppy and no cleanup after DO NOT HIRE
