First off I want to tell anyone buying from this company, my suggestion is do not. Here is why. Everything that you might think is a "sneaky charge" they hide it in their terms and conditions. Outrageous auction fees. TRANSACTION FEE - $299. DOCUMENT FEE of $199 and you still have to go to the bmv when you get the title mailed to you and do all the registration/sales tax/etc. You are paying for "courier service and 2 day fed ex shipment of the title". I was told they mailed it at the beginning of the week. Never received the tracking info through email like they claimed. I call days later to check on it. They told me it already shipped but then I get the email for tracking and it hasn't even been picked up by *****. Only label created. I was obviously lied to. I had to call and be an unhappy customer in order to get things done. I bought a motorcycle, buy it now, at $900. My total invoice was $1907 and that didn't even include shipping or sales tax. This place is a rip off. They do not care about your time or purchase. Also, you can not use your security deposit and apply to the invoice. You have to ONLY WIRE TRANSFER the full amount and once your purchase has been picked up by ONLY an authorized shipping company, then you will receive the deposit back. I will personally never buy from them again. I will suggest to anyone I know to do the same.Business response

The whole selling process is described in the terms and conditions and FAQs. The terms and condition section contains the article 5.6 about the auction fee and a link to calculate the fees. As IAA Auction Fees depends on the vehicle type and bid amount or buy now price. This information is disclosed. There is also a link on every vehicle description page to the Fee Calculator to see the final invoice amount which includes all the fees.

There is no information that the deposit will be or can be used as a payment for the vehicle. The deposit can be refunded only.

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with my recent experience at SCA Auctions. I encountered several misleading aspects regarding the online policy, particularly concerning the deposit. While the site states that the deposit does not apply to the purchase price, it fails to clarify that it also excludes additional expenses such as auction fees, document fees, and transaction fees.Furthermore, I was assured that I could cancel my bid and that the deposit would apply to this cancellation. However, upon attempting to do so, I was informed that cancellation was not an option. This inconsistent communication has led to significant confusion and frustration.Additionally, prior to making my purchase, I was informed that my account was on hold for unspecified reasons, which was later attributed to technical issues. Although I was eventually granted access, the total listed online did not match the invoice I received. This discrepancy, coupled with the sites technical errors and insufficient customer support, has eroded my confidence in SCA Auctions.I strongly urge potential buyers to thoroughly research and understand all terms before proceeding to avoid any undisclosed fees/ cost that might be associated with the overall purchase. Thank you for taking the feedback. We are sorry that your experience was not positive. The terms and conditions states that the deposit can be only refunded when the Purchase Price has been fully paid and the purchased vehicle picked up. It means the full invoice amount which includes all the auction fee, late and storages fee, if any, transaction and documentation fee. This information is also indicated in the FAQs.
5. Payments & Fees
5.1. Security Deposits: Provided that the Purchase Price has been fully paid and the purchased vehicle picked up, the Security Deposit is fully refundable (barring offset against other fees) via a request from your Account, with most refunds being returned via the same payment method used to make the Security Deposit. In the event that a refund is
requested 120 days or more after the date of the Security Deposit payment, U.S. and Canadian residents may receive their refunds via a paper check, with all other Members receiving refunds via wire transfer with the Member responsible for any and all wire transfer fees. Refund requests may not be made in writing or verbally and must be made
exclusively through your Member Account and shall not be valid until a confirmation email is received by you from us. Deposits are not generally required to use and access the website, however, a security deposit is required in order to place a bid;
The vehicle is still available to pay and pick it up as for today.
If you want to cancel the purchase the cancellation fee will be charged.
5.5. Relisting & Sale Cancelation Fees: In the event that the full ayment(s) for the vehicle(s) is not received within five (5) calendar days, we may, in our sole and exclusive discretion, cancel the sale and relist the vehicle(s). Members shall be responsible for the payment of a Relisting Fee of One Thousand U.S. Dollars and No Cents ($1,000.00) or fifteen percent (15%) of the vehicle sale price, whichever is greater. As well as the Sale ancellation Fee of Six Hundred U.S.Dollars and No Cents ($600.00). Members are also responsible for the payment of any and all costs and fees, such as collection costs, attorneys fees and court costs that may be incurred by SCA. Bidding privileges will be suspended until the Relisting Fee has been received by SCA. Multiple failures to pay and resulting relists shall result in termination of your privileges and suspension of your Account and result in the member being referred to a third party collections services with an additional $100 collections fee added to the existing outstanding fees.
The Relisting & Sale Cancelation Fees should be paid in full and than the security deposit will be refunded. In case the Relisting & Sale Cancelation Fees is not paid the deposit will be used to cover the part of the balance and the client is responsible to pay the balance.

I am rejecting this response because:Per section 5.1 under the membership terms and agreements, the website does NOT specifically state that the security deposit does not go towards any fees associated with the vehicle such as transaction fees, auction fees, document fees, and sale tax. It also fails to disclose the other unlisted cost associated with purchasing a car from their company which is the increased auction fees based on the cost of the vehicle. This lack of transparency leaves room for the consumer to be uninformed about the true overall cost when bidding from their auction. I've also sent several responses dating back to October 16th requesting to cancel the vehicle which were ignored up until my BBB complaint was submitted. Buyer beware!

SCA auto auctions is a online auction. I wanted to buy a car from them so I had to create a profile then it says I can buy on buy now or bid. So I do then it says I have to upgrade to a premier member in order to buy n bid which was $200.00. so I paid that then I try to buy then it says I have to deposit $***** and I get $6,600 in bidding power so I do that finally buy the car now pre purchase the info SCA gave me was If I buy they ship it to there auction in my city or closest to it and at that point I can go up there view the vehicle and I can pay in cash. So purchased a s550 for a lil under $10,000 SCA claims the vehicle is in ******************* perfect it's like 10 minutes from me. That's when everything changed at this point SCA **** emailing me says I can not go view the vehicle I can not pay in cash and the only way to pay is thru a wire transfer unfortunately my i.d has been stolen 4x and as a result no bank in the entire u.s.a will do any business with I'm black listed as to high risk. I tell the SCA *** this and tell them had I known it was wire transfer only i never buy the car as I know I can't do a wire. I say I'll just come view it on location. SCA *** says no they will not allow I have to pay n pay to ship B4 I can even view the vehicle in person. i can't do that so I cancel the order and I requested the $***** I deposited no harm no foul it's not like it cost the auction anything they don't pay for them they auction them. Then they would not cancel it and claimed I owe late ************** on ********* emailed me daily until they garnished my ***** bucks. #1 That's totally illegal company can not legally take my money just cause SCA claims I owe them money. It's a violation of federal statue fair debt collection practices act clearly states a creditor can not garnish any monies with a judge signing a garnishment. I want u to send this it will be followed by ************************ complaints n a lawsuit for violating my federally protected rights.Business response

The vehicle can be preview before the auction at the auction yard where it is put on sale. We do not deliver the vehicle to any closest to you yard for preview. The vehicle can be inspected and viewed during the auction period in accordance to the rules and requirement of the yard. The preview time is before the auction. 5. Payments & Fees
5.3. Vehicle Payments: All payments for vehicles shall be due within one (1) business days of the date of sale and
shall be made directly to us via wire transfer in US dollars by 5:00 pm branch local time. In the event of nonpayment
within the time period mentioned herein (1 business days), Member shall be subject to late fees of $50.00 or 2%,
whichever is greater. No other methods of payment are accepted at this time. We do not accept payment via credit
card, debit card, ******, trade ins, cashiers checks, money orders, or ACH payment. SCA LLC reserves the right to
cancel the bid for any reason and relist the vehicle within its sole discretion.
The terms of the purchase cancellation are also discribed.
5.5. Relisting & Sale Cancelation Fees: In the event that the full payment(s) for the vehicle(s) is not received within five
(5) calendar days, we may, in our sole and exclusive discretion, cancel the sale and relist the vehicle(s). Members shall
be responsible for the payment of a Relisting Fee of One Thousand U.S. Dollars and No Cents ($1,000.00) or fifteen
percent (15%) of the vehicle sale price, whichever is greater. As well as the Sale Cancellation Fee of Six Hundred U.S.
Dollars and No Cents ($600.00). Members are also responsible for the payment of any and all costs and fees, such as
collection costs, attorneys fees and court costs that may be incurred by SCA. Bidding privileges will be suspended until

5.13. Nonpayment of Fees; Collection: In the event any of the foregoing fees remain unpaid, we shall first apply any
payments made, including your Security Deposit, to any unpaid Membership Fees, Registration Fees, storage,
shipping and gate fees, late payment fees, Relisting Fees, and Transaction Fees followed by the application of the
payment to the sales price of the vehicle. Any outstanding debts will be directly deducted from the payment method
provided by you upon registration, as amended from time to time, without your further approval or notice. We shall not
be under any obligation to release a vehicle into your possession until any and all fees and costs have been paid to our
complete satisfaction. Should you pay for any fee contemplated herein by a credit or debit card, you agree to authorize
SCA LLC to initiate debit/credit entries from your bank account or credit/debit card.
Please kindly make a payment for the renege fee $1600 and then the deposit can be refunded in full. Meanwhile the deposit has been applied to the open invoice for the renege fee. The balance is $600.

I am rejecting this response because: you mislead me you said I could view the vehicle B4 purchase then you said no I could not view it. #2 you violated federal law. collector has to give you validation information about the debt either when they first communicate with you or within five days of the first contact. The collector has to include the following
their name and mailing address
the name of the creditor you owe it to
how much money you owe, written out to include interest, fees, payments, and credits
what to do if you dont think its your debt
your debt collection rights, including your right to get information about the original creditor if you ask for it within 30 days of getting validation information from the collector. Garnishment a collector must first sue you to get a court order called a garnishment that says it can take money from your paycheck to pay your debts. A collector also can get a court order to take money from your bank account. But a court must grant the creditor a garnishment a creditor can not just take money without a court order.

There is an option to see the vehicle before the auction. This is the requirement from the auction. We are not collectors. You agreed to pay the cancellation fee and agreed that the deposit will be used as a partial payment for the open balance in case you do not pay the balance. Buyer beware we have had two very bad experiences with this auction and will never buy from them again we bought two vehicles. a 2014 **** Explorer and a 2013 **** edge both listed as CLEAN title which were actually SALVAGE vehicles I have contacted the auction multiple times and they have done nothing to make it right. I am rejecting this response because:I dont know what paperwork you are providing, but once a vehicle is deemed salvage or total loss that cannot be undone. As you will see again, For both vehicles purchased from your auction NICB Clearly shows that both vehicles are in fact salvage.
That is why I was unable to register the vehicles here in ******. Nevada DMV rejected both vehicles. The only thing that could be done at this time is filling out an inspection With a garage in order to obtain a rebuilt title. Again, I did not pay for or agreed to purchase rebuilt or salvage. I purchased title vehicles from you, which I did not receive.

Their apologies do not rectify the situation nor change the outcome. They are doing nothing to make things right. I have lost a lot of money and whether it is due to their negligence and incompetence or possibly knowingly misrepresenting facts, it does not change the the fact that I have been taken advantage of and lied to and lost a huge amount of money and this business gets to wash their hands and keep all the profit while regular consumers like myself suffer huge monetary consequences

Sca auction had a vehicle on there website that had been sold a week prior the same vehicle was being sold 7 days after and was being bidded on. I asked for a refund of my deposit and account fee due to my bank not supporting wire transfers I was told that wire transfers were the only way I could pay after winning a bid on a car a few days later after already asking for a refund I was contacted by phone and was given another way to pay but only after 11 days of late charges were assestBusiness response

The full information about the fees and the purchase process is indicated in the Membership terms and conditions. The client is supposed to read and accept it before the registration is completed. The terms and conditions say:
5. Payments & Fees
5.3.Vehicle Payments: All payments for vehicles shall be due within one (1)business days of the date of sale and shall be made directly to us via wire transfer in US dollars by 5:00 pm branch local time. In the event of nonpayment within the time period mentioned herein (1 business days), Member shall be subject to late fees of $50.00 or 2%, whichever is greater. No other methods of payment are accepted at this time. We do not accept payment via credit card, debit card, Paypal, trade ins, cashiers checks, money orders, or ACH payment. SCA LLC reserves the right to cancel the bid for any reason and relist the vehicle within its sole discretion.
5.5.Relisting & Sale Cancelation Fees: In the event that the full payment(s)for the vehicle(s) is not received within five (5) calendar days, we ***, in our sole and exclusive discretion, cancel the sale and relist the vehicle(s).Members shall be responsible for the payment of a Relisting Fee of One Thousand U.S. Dollars and No Cents ($1,000.00) or fifteen percent (15%) of the vehicle sale price, whichever is greater. As well as the Sale Cancellation Fee of Six Hundred U.S. Dollars and No Cents ($600.00). Members are also responsible for the payment of any and all costs and fees, such as collection costs, attorneysfees and court costs that *** be incurred by SCA. Bidding privileges will be suspended until the Relisting Fee has been received by SCA. Multiple failures to pay and resulting relists shall result in termination of your privileges and suspension of your Account and result in the member being referred to a third party collections services with an additional $100 collections fee added to the existing outstanding fees.
5.13.Nonpayment of Fees; Collection: In the event any of the foregoing fees remain unpaid, we shall first apply any payments made, including your Security Deposit, to any unpaid Membership Fees, Registration Fees, storage, shipping and gate fees, late payment fees, Relisting Fees, and Transaction Fees followed by the application of the payment to the sales price of the vehicle. Any outstanding debts will be directly deducted from the payment method provided by you upon registration, as amended from time to time, without your further approval or notice. We shall not be under any obligation to release a vehicle into your possession until any and all fees and costs have been paid to our complete satisfaction. Should you pay for any fee contemplated herein by a credit or debit card, you agree to authorize SCA LLC to initiate debit/credit entries from your bank account or credit/debit card. 5.14. Refunds and Disputes: Except as set forth herein, no fees or other payments shall be refundable to you for any reason. In the event you object to any fees or costs assessed to you, please contact us.
The section 3. Vehicle Sales & Bidding states
3.3. Bids:Bid carefully! Once submitted, bids cannot be changed or retracted. We are unable to guarantee that IAA *** accept your bid, and IAA *** reject a Members bid for any reason in IAAs sole and exclusive discretion. You agree that we shall have no liability in the event that a bid you place is rejected. In the event of a tie, a live bidder shall always prevail over a preliminary bidder.If both parties are proxies, they will be requested to place follow-up bids to resolve the tie, or, if doing so does not break the tie, the vehicle will be awarded to the person who bid first, or, alternatively, all bids will be canceled and the vehicle relisted for bidding.
So once the vehicle is won and awarded to the customer it cannot be cancelled without the cancellation fee.
When *************************** informed us about the issue with his bank and wire transfer, we were trying to assist and offered another method of payment as one time exception. We informed that the deposit cannot be refunded until the vehicle is paid in full and picked up or the cancellation fee is paid.

Paid there $199 fee to be able to bid on their auction. They never got things cleared so I could do this until after the day I needed to bid. They do not return phone calls, you never can talk to a supervisor. They do not tell all the needed informationBusiness response

I reject the response from the company. We never bid on any trailer. The one we planned to bid on sold at auction before they cleared us to bid. Despite the fact theyd charged for my membership of $199 & the deposit of $1000 to allow me to bid. But the clearance for me did not come in until after the auction. The auction was 11 in am clearance later that day. Plus you need a certain number to identify & it wasnt given to me until I called a day or so after the auction.. Ill find proof of phone calls & info. Ill try to add pictures later. Must find first. Date & time the number given after I finally later asked ? & called them. It was never on our sign in info & this was after I had tried to reach them or someone in leadership & calls never returned & hung up on numerous times.

look on these phone records at ************. This shows you how many times I called & got no help & no return phone calls trying to solve the problems. I signed up paid fees $199, pd $1000 with a credit card on 4/20 but again never cleared to bid until after am sale 4/24. I tried to resolve before & after sale 4/24 but never happened. I deserve my $199 fees as never bid like they stated I did. Read all negative reviews. Theyre a dishonest company!!Customer response

Scam -won car for 1200, Later got an invoice for 3k (3 times market price for the WORKING version of this car). Only took bank wires (very hard to do if you don't have certain accounts, and almost no money service will transfer to them), took an extra few days just to pay the **** thing. They claimed the car worked and the only damage was scratched. Well the car shows up and it has a flat and the driver said it doesn't even work. Thousands down the drainBusiness response

To start with, wed like to highlight that all the cars are sold AS IS: Every vehicle, including all vehicle types,sold through SCA LLC are sold as is where is. No vehicle is represented as being road-worthy, drivable or mechanically sound and any vehicle may require substantial repairs. As such, any vehicle is sold without any warranties WHATSOEVER. Removal of the vehicle from the auction facility constitutes that the vehicle has been thoroughly inspected by the member prior to removal. It is the members sole responsibility to inspect all vehicles, either in person or through third party, prior to purchase and prior to removal of the vehicle from the auction facility.
On the top of the bid amount/I-Buy-Fast price there are 3 fees applied: documentation, transaction and auction house fees (they depend on a bid amount). On the website theres a final price calculator where everyone can check the total cost: ****************************************************** The same calculator is on the vehicles description page.
