Our quoted price was $119.00. They claimed that "extra" microbial light needed to be added which they justified the huge disparity between the quoted price and what we paid (almost $3000!) They intimidated us into payment after the fact without ever saying it would be that much money before they did it. After they left, our AC did not work and the **** person who fixed it, inspected the job and said they installed UV light incorrectly and broke our AC.

I had Sears to come out for and air duct cleaning only. The tech arrived with his partner. He goes straight to the air handler cut a hole use his phone camera. Then states that we have mold. And its going to cost me $1,583.60. I had $1,500.00 cash. My husband and my sick brother plus my dog sat there while the technician proceeded to clean the vents that supposedly had mold in it. That means we was breathing in that supposedly mold. He only asked us to leave out the house while he used the fogger. I truly believe I was ripped off. There was no mold. The tech scam me saying we had mold. I have the invoice where he changed the price. To top that off him and his partner left to go to the store to split the money. I want my money back. These folks are scamming the elderly. Why lie about something that was not true. If I truly had mold then my sick brother and my husband and I plus the dog has mold in our lungs. As he was cleaning the ducts he left dust all over the house with that fake mold cleaning job. We was breathing in the stuff he was spraying into the vents

I called Sears Air Duct Cleaning Service on 11/6/23 and was quoted ****** to clean up to 10 vents. Clearly, I told them that was all I needed done. Instead, they come here and stick some kind of camera in my unit and put a hole in it! Then they tried to scam me out of $2,227.00 by telling me my unit, which has a new coil, is moldy. I asked them to leave, not realizing they were leaving a hole in the unit. I called them an got ****** in VA and said I want that hold fixed correctly, not taped. He sent them back, and they said the hole should remain there and we are only going to tape it up. They also sprayed glue inside my unit into the hole. They have a well deserved F. I wish a repair to the hole or money back for damages.

My 91-year-old mother, who lives in an apartment, contacted Sears Duct Cleaning identified below, for their "Special" $119 special to clean her ducts. Her Name is *************************; the invoice is attached. When this technician arrived, they convinced her that she needed Mold Remediation done immediately for Health reasons. As you can see in the attached, this person then changed the estimate, adding $2000 more for the service. No estimate was given until after the service was done, and she went to pay. This person was also not licensed or certified for Mold remediation and did nothing but shine a light in the ducts.Interestingly, the ** unit in her house was replaced just the week before, and the ** company owner said there was no mold in the ducts.Sears Duct Cleaning ****************************************************** **************
