Great Company! Very professional!Going solar was a big decision for us and these guys made it a lot easier! My sales rep was very professional and when he didnt know something he was honest and diligently got the answer. He called the owner who answered his phone and even got to speak to him before making my final decision. The process after that was as smooth as could be. Thanks guys!!Review from Michelle R

Best decision we have ever made! My husband and I disagreed for a while as to whether or not to get solar but after meeting with Emerald Sun Energy my husband was convinced that this was going to be a great company to work with. The owner took a great deal of time to explain and answer all of our questions. The customer service was exceptional. We were informed throughout the entire installation process from start to finish. Again time was taken to answer any questions that popped up along the way. Now we receive a small bill to cover connection fees-- we are saving so much money. When our friends were complaining this summer about how high their electric bill was because the rates went up, we just smiled to ourselves because we have a fixed payment.Review from Brenda H

Great company, very knowledgeable, no pressure sales, warm personality staff, answered all my questions, very good pricing, and satisfied with my solar system. Lets start of by, it took me 2 months to interview and analyze like 6 solar companies. The reason I did that was because there are so many companies out there looking out for their own interest. I believe that a business should be a mutually gaining experience. So I did my research and learned everything that was needed to know about solar energy and the different companies selling it. During my search I found Emerald Sun Energy and it was the only company that stood out. ******* the owner, came to my house and explained what to look for in a solar system, never pressured me into anything. He then showed me his prices which are very competitive compared to the other companies, but what stood out about his company was his professionalism and effort to look out for my best interest. With that being said, I chose him and I have no complains at all. His technicians were nothing but detailed oriented when it came to the installation. I have been with the solar system for two months and I havent seen a bill. I highly recommend it.Review from Dana L

I wish I could select zero stars for Emerald Sun Energy! I will never recommend Emerald Sun Energy company or this owner to anyone, not even to an enemy!My panels are up since 2021, but not getting the results promised. Their workmanship was terrible. After one year my neighbor spotted some metal pieces on my roof. The terrible installation resulted in a ********** lose mid-clamps that are holding the panels.***************************** took advantage of my situation me having zero knowledge about the solar system, convinced me to pay over $26K for the solar system, telling me lies that I don't have to be worried for my electric bills anymore.He misrepresented about the savings I should have, promised me in writing that if I ever have a bill to pay, he is going to install a few additional panels free of charge. This never happened!When I contacted him complaining that I am receiving very high bills from **** Energy, his response was telling me that my system is working properly but according to him I am just using more energy than usual.I live by myself in a ***** Square Ft house with super insulated roof, new AC, new windows, being extremely frugal and getting higher bills than my neighbors don't have solar panels, who live in a bigger house with three people, and their payments are much less than my bills.Every once a while I am getting bills over $140+ on top of the $35,73 monthly fee for the **** smart meter.The owner, ***************************** is providing very deceptive information, misrepresenting his system. I would first like to say that **** is dissatisfied with the service we provided her. That saddens me terribly as the owner of the company and the person she names by name. I know we did everything that we could to satisfy her but the only way we could have done that is if I would have given her $3,000 of Free solar panels. I just couldnt in good conscience do that because the truth of the matter is she is claiming I made false statements which I DID NOT. I will cover each point in this response. 1st She claims that she is paying $140 per month to Duke. She is not and I have proof of that she sent me her total year consumption from Duke. What it worked out to was in December she had $140 bill (due to increased consumption on her part, Ill cover this more later). Every other month there was $0 electricity charges. **** does have the $35.73 minimum bill that she does have to pay. **** did increase that from $17 a month that is was when I sold her the system. She claims that I offered to put free panels on her roof. Which I did offer. However that offer was based on if the panels we put on the roof did not perform to the estimated kWh we said the system would produce. That number was ***** kWh. When **** first made this claim, I reviewed her usage, her power bills and was able to determine that the system we installed produced over ****** kWh outperforming our estimations. This is not uncommon as I always make sure we out produce our expectations. I wont call her a liar on this point but would rather point out that she definitely misinterpreted the offer. I sent her all the documentation that showed we outperformed the system and let her know that she is using more power than we built the system for. This will happen on occasion which I did tell her when we initially met because she was in the home less than a year that after someone gets used to the home and add additional electronics that this could happen. I did think that the additional power I knew our system would produce would be enough but simple fact she is using more energy. That being said I did make her an offer that I thought could get us to a point where she would be satisfied. I offered to do the panel upgrade at equipment cost. Meaning she pays for equipment at cost & I will pay for the labor. I made her that offer because I do take the fact that she misunderstood what I told her seriously. We have been going in business since 2015 and this is the first negative review we have ever received from a customer. Something I / we are extremely proud of and feel that we made every effort to satisfy ****. She also did not mention the more than a dozen personal phone calls that we had trying to get to a resolution. It really saddens me the stance and tone that she chose to take with her review attacking my character. Here is further evidence of my character even after the disparaging remarks I will still be here to provide service to you as needed and my offer to add panels to your system at cost still stands. Truly am sorry your experience with Emerald Sun Energy didnt meet your expectations as we have with our ***** customers in the last 9+ years. (FYI, to the BBB if there is a way I can attach documentation to this that backs my responseI would like to know how)
