Paid ***'s Wholesale Automotive $3,621.01 on June 9th 2022. After the maiden voyage, the transmission immediately leaked and got stuck in first year. Vehicle was towed back to the shop on the shop's dime, and the shop owner *** determined that there was nothing wrong with the transmission. Since then, I have been back to the ******** times, pointing out that the transmission leaks, gets stuck at first gear, and shifts rough into second and third gear. Each time ***, the owner of the shop, has shot me down, refused to work on the transmission and said that there is nothing wrong. To add a little bit of inconsistency, he also then stated to bring back the transmission out of the vehicle and he will work on it. During the test drives that were taken with the vehicle, the other technicians in his shop actually agreed with me that the transmission shifts rough into second and fourth gear, however after *** took the test drive, he decided that there was nothing wrong and made me leave. During these test drives, *** also tries to deflect from the poor transmission performance by pointing out things that are wrong with the vehicle that have absolutely nothing to do with the transmission. He also refuses to take a test drive that actually puts stress on the vehicle to replicate the problem. Overall, the owner of ***'s wholesale Automotive is very patronizing and manipulative simply trying to discourage you and to go away rather than honoring their warranty of ****** miles or 18 months. I have pictures of the leaking transmission as well as expert statements from certified mechanics that were all ignored by ***. I'm now left with a non-working vehicle and I'm out of $3,621.01. Please help a consumer make this right and have the vendor show some accountability for their poor service.

      Business response

After reading **************** complaint he had left out a few details regarding his repair at our facility

1.He did not bring the whole vehicle in just his transmission and torque converter

      2. We did not install this transmission in his vehicle this was done by another shop

*************** originally brought in his transmission which we rebuilt and replaced the torque converter this was what were refer to as bench work because we did not physically work on his vehicle . After he had his transmission installed at another facility he called and stated that his transmission was leaking even though we did not install the transmission we towed the vehicle back to our facility and looked at it for him at no charge and we covered the towing from his home to our location.

He was complaining of a harsh shift and  a leak which at that time we scanned his vehicle and had mass air flow sensor codes and other codes related to the engine which we recommended him fixing as those could cause is***s to the transmission / as far as the leak he was talking about the engine oil pan was covered in oil we rechecked the transmission fluid with him here to see it was full and not leaking

I also explained to *************** if he was having internal transmission is***s that we would certainly look at it for him but we would not be pulling or reinstalling the transmission for him as he did not pay for that service

He refused to listen to any of our recommendations and started becoming very hostile and threatening to *** us if we did not fix his van

For a resolution to this situation.

I will be more than happy to go back and reinspect the transmission and torque converter if he has the transmission pulled and brought back here for us to inspect. He has a 18 month /****** mile on the transmission which we will honor but we cannot pull or reinstall his transmission for him.
