I purchased a new quartzite countertop from Amazon Stone in ****** on 01/27/2024. The stone that was installed was damaged during fabrication and installation according to three different specialists. The damage included surface etching on the entire countertop, numerous chips and poor cuts along the entire back side of the countertops, windowsill and backsplash. There is also significant damage to the sink faucet cut which is difficult to repair without substantial restoration.During installation I pointed out some of my concerns and was told the issues were part of the natural stone. Later that night I contacted them and they responded, stating they would fix the issue. They came back out and still insisted most of our concerns were part of the natural stone and only worked on two sections dismissing the rest of the countertops. After four hours of work, the two areas were not better, and they would need to call out a specialist.Amazon Stone then contacted two different specialists who assessed the countertops. Both determined the etching had occurred during the fabrication process and additional damage occurred during their attempts to repair them. I contacted a third independent specialist, who noted in addition to the previous issues, an improper epoxy was used in the sink faucet cut out that would not hold up to normal wear and tear and would fail at some point. During the entire process Amazon Stone has dismissed our concerns and still insist after 8 weeks, all the issues can be fixed. I have attached two written assessments stating that is not the case. I have requested a full refund, or they install another quartzite countertop that has been fabricated and installed properly. Their only comment is they have not completed service at this time, and we need to let their specialist work on it. Amazon Stone assures us they can be fixed even though we have a written assessment from their specialist stating he cannot fix them completely.
