I ordered my health care package from Nations Benefits on the 25th of Oct. They always said they send the packages in the past in 3-5 business days, so I made an order expecting it by the 3rd of Nov at the latest. I waited until the 28th of Oct and noticed it wasn't even packed and ready to go yet so I called the companies number and talked to an agent, and she said it wasn't ready or shipped yet. I told her we would be leaving the country for a month and if it came after the 3rd of Nov it would sit on our porch for a month. I said she better cancel the order, and I will re-order when I get back. She said fine and told me it was cancelled. I woke up the next day and it still showed the order as active. So, I used my own computer to try to cancel the order. You can see the 'cancel order' symbol still active. Doesn't work. Says unable. So, I called the company once again. I got another agent, and she explained that you only have 10 minutes to cancel an order after making it. I said then why did the agent tell me she canceled it yesterday? She had no answer for that. The agent today said she sent a request to cancel the order directly to the plant where they ship it. Said she would call me back, but I won't keep my fingers crossed. This is $357.49 worth of goods. Almost the entire money per year I can spend for health-related goods. What company on the face of the earth can't cancel an order when it's not even shipped yet!? The order has been sitting for 4 days and still shows no update and we can't cancel it!? It will sit on my doorstep for 30 days and $357.49 worth of items lost. I will be on a cruise for this trip so almost no way to call the shipper to refuse the order and nobody at home to refuse the order. This is unacceptable to say the least. Someone needs to cancel the order or if they can't then advise the shipper after shipping to return the order for a refund. Not a good way to treat a 66-year-old senior citizen.
