Had a brand new roof put on my home when we did a major addition, we had issues from the start with company, but everything was corrected at the time. roof leak, bent materials, & using my dumpster for roofing materials which was not allowed. Year 7 we had two separate leaks in two completely different locations of the house. back of house master bathroom and front right side in formal living room. the living room was more of an issue took them several times of coming out to stop the leak. all covered under warranty. No damage to tiles that I know of it also seemed to be the under laminate that I paid extra for. now I just pass the 10-year **** and another leak now this time it's in front left of house in bedroom. Company sends service rep ***** *** by the name of ***. He says this shouldn't be let me go back to the office and get this under an extended warranty. He then says sorry they won't do it will be $1500.00. I send him a short email and say please ask with all the issues should at least be discounted. My husband called there upset and explained and got big boss on the phone and set up with their specialist to come look and tell us the issue. meantime I get an email from service department asking me to fill out warranty paperwork and now price went to 2500 plus this lady says we went two people already and need paid. it was one and no work was done. I didn't reply to her anymore. My husband showed *** some shotty work and he couldn't give us a good reason. He took pictures. My husband asked the boss to please put in writing the issue because of this age of a roof should never have this many leaks or leak period was the work done wrong or the product is bad. both specialist and boss said they would and never did. ******* to ceiling inside every time and now it can't be matched it was hand troweled. I just wanted it fixed at no charge to us. there obviously is an ongoing issue with this roof. attached several items to help explain

Latite management met with the client in July 2024 for this leak / estimate.  The roof is over 10 years old and is out of warranty. The client told Latite Management that the leak was fixed but wanted us to do the repair for free.  Latite Management explained that the roof was out of warranty and would not be able to for free.

The client was upset then stated it would be in our best interest to do it for free.

Thats when Latite Managment parted ways.  The client was still quite verbal as Latite Management backed out of the driveway.

Per our warranty terms, the owner should have the roof inspected, at minimum,  30 days before expiration date to address any roof warranty issues (should there be any).    That did not happen.

      Latite Roofing honors all warranties.

I had a new roof installed but am having problems with the roof. During a recent heavy rain there was water overflowing the gutters and leaking through the metered joint. This was the same problem I had before this new roof and it eventually caused leaks in my house . I showed a video of this to the sales rep of Latite . I hired J.R. ********** services to ask for another opinion because they insisted it was a cloded gutter. J& R sent them a printed report that said the ** walls mentioned needed to be repitched and the miter joints resealed . Also to balance the gutters. When all the work was done the roofer and gutter contractor should water test all gutters for leaks and correct pitch. Sales rep from refuses to do anything but wants me to pay for the water test now. He refuses to give me any consideration or help . I am a 80 year old widow and I feel he is taking advantage of me.

Latite completed the roof and gutter replacement on the referenced residence in July, 2022. As of the date of this response, the owners still have a substantial open balance owed on the account. The customer recently provided ********************** a video of water overflowing from the gutter during a rainstorm. We sent the gutter contractor out to inspect the gutter assembly, free of charge. The contractor identified the problem as clogged downspout, filled with dirt and leaves. It was also noted in his initial inspection upon arrival, the gutter was filled and holding water. This disputes the fact there is any issue with gutter  joints and need to be resealed.

Customer then hired J.R. ********** Services, who is also her neighbor in the community, and per his report stated, Mrs. ****** also asked to inspect the gutters which abut the ** walls mentioned above. She showed me a video on her phone of water overflowing the gutters and leaking through the mitered joints. My conclusion is as follows: gutters need to be repitched and the miter joints resealed. We asked the customer if J.R. ********** Services actually inspected the gutter and water tested to see if it was sealed or if they only based their assessment off of a video. The customer stated they did not physically look at the gutter in question and only the video she showed him. Per her request for a reinspection, we agreed to reinspect the gutter, but this time there would be a fee since we already went out and inspected free of charge two weeks prior.Customer refuses to pay balance on account and continues to ask for freeinspections.

      Complaint: 19976643

I am rejecting this response because:

Contrary to what ************ stated, the roof and gutter replacement was not completed in July 2022 because one of the three items on the Final Walk-Thru document (punch list) was not remedied. I do have an open balance on my account ($1,464.50 of the $35,490.00 total cost of the roof/gutter replacement) because per the Draw Schedule in my contract  (attached) with Latite, the final 5% payment is due "upon final completion meeting with the Project Manager". ************ was supposed to call me back to finish the last item on the Final Walk-Thru document and he never did, therefore there was no final completion.

During the period I was waiting for ************ to contact me to finish the Final Walk-Thru item, I noticed that during a rainstorm water was pouring our from underneath the gutters above the northwest corner of my home through the space between the gutters and fascia board. I took a video of this happening  and sent it to ************. He did send the gutter contractor to my home but the contractor came while I was not home and sent me a picture of a gutter with some dirt in it. ************ informed me that the contractor's conclusion was that the problem was a clogged downspout, but I was not shown any evidence of that. The gutters and downspout were brand new and installed by the contractor and should not have had these issues within a few months of installation. I then contacted ******************************* from *****************************., a licensed roofing and home inspector, to inspect the gutters. He inspected the gutters in person and his conclusion was that "these gutters need to be repitched and the miter joints resealed. I also recommend the balance of the gutters be reinspected by the gutter contractor and repitched and resealed as necessary". His report is attached.

The statement ************ made that I only showed ******************** the video of the gutters is not true. ******************** came to my home and inspected my gutters in person.

************ refuses to address the gutter issues that my inspector reported. It is obvious from the video that there is water leakage from these new gutters. These issues will lead to fascia rot and will cause leaks inside the house if the gutters are not corrected. The gutter contractor used by Latite should correct their work and then do a water test and this should be at no charge to me. I paid over $35,000 for a new roof and gutters and should not already be having problems within a few months of installation.
      Sincerely,

      ***************************

Attached to this response is the Final Walk checklist which was filled out by the customer and signed off. Contrary to the customers statement, there are only two items on the final checklist and not three. There is no mention of painting the fascia board or caulking on the final walk checklist or the contract, yet the customer refuses to give ** final payment because of this item and the gutter situation. We informed her that if she wanted to ** to come out and paint, then we will happily do so, but we do not offer painting for free and there would be a charge associated. The only items on the checklist were a probable leak in the front bedroom and disputing fascia board amount used in roofing on the *****************. We have inspected the leak and so did the inspector (per her attached report) and it was deemed there is no roof leak. We also deducted an extra twenty (20) lineal feet of fascia board that was incorrect and gave her a credit on the *****************. This addressed everything agreed upon the final checklist. We expect full payment for the project now that all items have been addressed.

Today, May 2nd 2023, we personally called ******************* and he verbally agreed he did not personally inspect the gutters and only based his assessment off of the video the customer showed him. We asked him if the customer told him about the gutter contractor inspecting the gutter the week prior and he told ** she made no mention of a previous inspection or that the downspout was clogged with dirt and leaves. The problem with the gutter the customer is claiming has been proven to be the result of a clogged downspout. There are no leaks, and it does not need to be repitched per the gutter contractor who already went out free of charge and inspected them. As we previously stated, we are more than happy to go and reinspect per her request, but there will be a fee associated with another reinspection.

Latite replaced my roof in 2019. I continued to have leaks ongoing through present. The ***************** paid them for repairs to lanai in March 2022. I began experiencing leaks again in the summer and fall during rainy season. The Association called them and Latite apparently refused to come out and complete repairs to the roof. It is under warranty so the Association wont let anyone else on the roof. I contacted Latite myself and they still refuse to reply.

Our service coordinator will send you a warranty request form to fill out, and we will be happy to schedule service once it is received.

      Thanks!

I purchased a home at ******************************************************************** in April of this year. Latite replaced the roofing in the complex (the units are attached) about three years ago. I have been trying for three weeks to get someone to return my calls about broken roof tiles and a leak in my roof. While I understand that the roof tiles may not be covered under the warranty, leaks certainly are. However, no one will return my calls from the local (**************) office. I did initially speak with someone who said that service would be in touch with me to schedule a visit. This never happened. I was even given the cell number for "*****," the service manager, and left a message there too. Further, I called the main office and they were not able to reach ***** or anyone else at the ************** office either. They told me that they e-mailed him and the manager of the ************** office. This was over a week ago. Given the rain this time of year and the rain forecasted for the upcoming week and a half, I was forced to pay $4,934 to another roofing company to have them replace the tiles and fix the active leak when this should have been covered by Latite's warranty. I do not understand why no one will call me back; I can only assume that they are deliberately trying to avoid their warranty obligations. I am happy to provide phone calls dates and times upon request.
