I had ******* come out on 10/17/2022 to give me a quote to install curbing around the entire perimeter of my home. She came out and measured, we chose the product to be used and I told her I would have to get *** approval. I did that and reached out to her to schedule the appointment. I told her I had to head to my house up North and we agreed that I did not need to be here for them to do the job. The job was scheduled for Nov 7th. No one came out, so I called at the end of the business day and was advised they would come on Nov 8th, I gave her a check for ******** which paid it in full. They did come out and did the curbing, but they left approximately a 3 foot gap around my bushes. My neighbors sent pictures and both the *** and myself were unhappy with the way they left it. No one told me at any point that I would have to have a gap, or once they came to install it that they could not do it the way we had agreed upon. I only found out because I was contacted by my Association with pictures. After multiple texts, I said I would remove Ornamental grass, and she said they would come back out and close the gap. She advised me it was going to cost me an additional ******. I didn't feel that I should have to pay anything more, after all, she did measure, however, I felt it wasn't worth the trouble. I mailed the check for $400. on November 10th and she said they would come out within a couple of weeks and close the gap. I was in CT. I assumed that it would get done. I arrived back in ******* on Jan 15, 2023 and it had not been done, although she did cash my check. I called and she apologized saying it fell through the cracks and they would come correct it within a couple of weeks. I had to text, call and leave messages multiple times, once again a "no show." She finally texted me back telling me that they would do it today, February 20th, once again a "no show." You can't talk to her since she declines the calls to her VM. I want the job completed. As i am writing this my crew is there right now revising the work that was done. Our concern was to not encroach on a city right of way and also not to disturb the complainants existing landscape and plants.
As i admitted to the complainant i had become overwhelmed with hurricane *** repairs at my own home along with being short handed on our crew and had forgotten about it a Not an excuse it is just what happened. We are there now. I ahoukd not that the job was completed when agreed to and we did not accept payment until completed the 1st time we were there. We do not and never have taken deposits.
I should note that i was never told about the **** only that the complainant did like the aesthetics of the area we are talking about.
The $400 only covers the material. My labor is $150/hr.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. They did come out and complete the job to my satisfaction.

January 2021 we hired said company to do curbing around our home but only in the front and sides. We would finish the back once our lanai was complete. December 2021 we made arrangements for the curbing to be completed. I believe the color is not the same. I contacted the owner via text message two times asking to please come take a look and see if I correct or if over time the color will match. She has yet to respond to me at all. In my opinion she took our money and was sure to cash our check but now all I hear is crickets on an issue as a good business should rectify.Business response

No two pours in concrete are the same and he confirmed the color. But honestly, this is the first I am hearing of this issue. Consumer Response /* (2000, 8, 2022/01/24) */ The number my husband gave me to 941-202-0953 was the number I called and texted. The business did contact my husband today from a different number and stated to give it at least a year. I now have the answer I was looking for and wish to cancel this complaint.
