We paid Reliable Fixers $6852 to purchase materials to remodel our shower. We paid by check because this company completed two projects for us in the past with no problems. This payment was made in July and was to be completed in December or after the holidays. We met with Matt ***** (owner) in September and selected the material color. He proceeded to inform us of various delays in fabrication and shipping. When we push him about status we never received an answer as to when we would get our shower remodel completed. Eventually we requested our money back. After not being able to communicate with Mr. ***** he did finally respond by sending us a check for $1000. He has not responded to when we could expect to receive additional payments.

Matt ***** was hired as a handyman for my second home whose primary purpose is and was for rental income. He knew in Dec. that I was blocking off Jan and Feb so he could get his work done for the spring guest arriving March 11. He assured me many many times that his work would be completed in time even as late as March 1st. I started getting concerned the latter part of Feb as I was getting word that he was not completing his tasks and his communication was not good. He always required half of his payment upfront before he started his work and then the other half when he completed it. Some work he never did, some work he started but did not complete, and some work he bought the materials but never did the work(initially , he did complete his tasks.) He put myself , the property manager, and all the others who had to do work in very little time in a tough position because his work that he had promised and been pd half for had to be completed by March 11 by others. I told him on March 10th that I wanted to resolve this amicably and he told me on March 22 that he also wanted to “resolve amicably” and that he would “never screw anyone” and that he knew that it was his fault(on March 27.) He owes me 2,077.66 for work not done or not completed. If he had done anything monetarily to show a good faith effort I would not have filed this. He continues to ignore all my emails, texts and phone calls. He was given a detailed account of the 2,077.66 he owes me via email based on his own billing statements on April 11. If this matter is not resolved then he will not give me any choice but to go the legal route.
