On7/16/24 I brought my car to this Midas for a separate service and was told that my Front lower control arm rearward was bad and when I brought my own part **** told me it was the wrong part. **** showed me the correct part on a parts store website and when I asked for the part number so I can get the correct part he refused to give it to me saying the Advance Auto Parts site was down then giving me the excuse that the part numbers are interchangeable. When I returned the part to Advance on Mariner Blvd they said their website is not down. **** admitted that they charge more money when they purchase the part but just tonight, *****, the Owner of this Midas informed me otherwise. I went home and actually got under my car and inspected the part the tech at Midas showed me was faulty because I do work on my car when I can and I have a basic understanding of the suspension on vehicles and found that the part I brought for them to install was in fact the correct part! I called the store and talked to **** to inform him that it was the correct part but he continued with the game that he was right and I was wrong! **** also told me that the front lower control arm and the rear lower control arm look extremely similar but after some research I found that is not the case, they look completely different! That is when I filed the complaint with Midas Corporate. About three days later I get a call from *****, the owner of this Midas and he refused to hear my complaint which he admits was his reason for the call, to understand the complaint how can you understand a complaint if you refuse to allow the person to speak and accuse them of speaking nonsense After I was not getting anywhere with ***** on the phone I hung up and texted him. I have pictures screenshots and video with audio proof of everything other than what **** told me about the wrong part when I was in the store. That Midas does have security cameras so Im sure proof of our conversation are on those camerasCustomer response

I am rejecting this response because:This Email is being sent so you can reopen the complaint I filed as I filed the complaint incorrectly. I am asking that Midas issues me a refund for ONLY THE ALIGNMENT I had done with them as I can not trust that it was done correctly due to the events that took place afterwards I will need the funds to go to another shop and have the alignment done properly. I brought my car to Midas on **************************************************** on 07/16/24 to have four new tires installed and balanced and have an alignment done and to look over the suspension of my vehicle. I was told that my Front left rearward lower control arm was bad. The tech even showed me the bushing for that part is bad and told me there is no movement which is good. I confirmed with **** that I am allowed to bring my own part but the labor will not be warrantied if the part I bring is defective. The next day, when I brought my own part **** told me it was the wrong part. **** showed me the correct part on a parts store website and when I asked for the part number so I can order the correct part he refused to give it to me saying the Advance Auto Parts site was down then giving me the excuse that the part numbers are interchangeable. I found it weird that he said it was down when I just ordered the part I brought to them from the Advance Auto Parts website a couple hours before this interaction. When I returned the part to Advance Auto Parts on Mariner Blvd, they said their website is fine and not down. **** admitted that they charge more money when they purchase the part, which is usually true as shops have to pay for delivery of the part and other circumstances but when ***********************, one of the Owners of this Midas called me after I filed a complaint through Midas cooperate, informed me otherwise. He also informed me that Midas employees are not obligated to give part numbers to customers. If that was true, why did **** have to give me two excuses, (neither one being he is not obligated to) on why he would not give me the part number? After I got home from returning the part at Advance Auto Parts **** said was incorrect, I lifted my car and took the left front tire off to inspect the part the tech at Midas showed me was faulty because I do work on my car when I can and I have a basic understanding of the suspension on vehicles and found that the part I brought for them to install was in fact the correct part! I called that Midas a few days later and talked to **** to inform him that it was the correct part but he continued with the game that he was right and I was wrong! **** also told me that the front left rearward lower control arm and the rear lower control arm look extremely similar(the entire conversation was recorded on my dashcam because I was driving when I had the time to call the store.) but after some research I found that the front left rearward lower control arm and the rear lower control arm on my vehicle look completely different! That is when I filed the complaint with Midas Corporate. ***********************, one of the owners of this Midas, called me a couple days after I filed the complaint and refused to hear my complaint which he admits was his reason for the call, to understand the complaint how can you understand a complaint if you refuse to allow the person to speak by continuously interrupting them and then when I ask him to stop interrupting me so I can explain myself, he accuses me of speaking nonsense! It seems to me **** tried either scamming me or he tried pulling c*** that auto shops are always doing to get more money out me! It seems **** did not expect me to be so thorough and aware of this situation. I received two messages on ******** from *********************** after I posted my situation and all proof to a ******** group for Spring Hill neighbors. In those messages *********************** is accusing me of breaking the law by recording our conversations! After I received those messages I contacted the Hernando County Sheriffs Office through the Non-Emergency number and I was put in contact with a Hernando County Sheriffs Deputy who confirmed with me that, in this situation, I did not commit a crime and no laws were broken when recording our conversations. I have done nothing wrong OR illegal!! **** and *********************** are morally wrong here and ***** is accusing me of wrong doing and law breaking!! I will be including ALL proof, (pictures, videos, screenshots, and dashcam recordings) of the conversations between me and **** and the dashcam record of the conversation between me and *********************** in a seperate Email with subject line *********************.
Sincerely,
