I hired Sunrise Boat Detailing to wash and wax my entire boat for $1400. They did work on 6/6 and 6/7. When *************************** owner asked for our review of the work on 6/7 we were in the middle of my daughters birthday party (******** had to delay job and it fell on my daughter's bday). We indicated we would review the next day as we could not depart from supervision at the party. ******** indicated that was ok to let him know anything that needed to be corrected or was missed. We contacted ******** with a list of items and detailed pictures of what was not completed and some damages done. He acknowledged the information and indicated he would return to complete and kept pushes us off because he indicated he was in the middle of a large job (from 6/8-6/14 he indicated he was too busy and couldn't return). We notified him we were leaving on vacation on 6/15 and he indicated that since he was busy he would address the issues and complete the work upon our return. Since we returned on 6/26, *************************** will not return my phone calls or respond to any text. He appears to have abandoned the job, not completed the work and not corrected the damages and had cashed and kept the full $1400 fee for the incomplete service. We are asking for the work to be completed properly and damages corrected or full amount refunded so that we may hire another company to redo the work.Business response

first of all i can give you hundreds of customers phone number to let you know who i am and how my company work. Among them are big companies like TNT CUSTOM ******* ******** Yatchs, ****** Yatchs, Cigarette and MTII POWER BOATS, and many others I always make customers happy, if i have to come back, for re touching i have no problem at all. But in this case is totally different. When i met them for estimated i recommended to do a work what had an estimated of $**** but they refused to listen my advice and they told me what kind of work they wanted, so i told them that i could do that at no warranty so this was what happened boat needed 2 steps compound and wax and they said we want only wax. I put 5 guys to work in that boat cause i know they are a pain in th ***, i worked for them before and always they complaint about everything and even thought this happened i come back to fix some of the things they told me, but after that they complaint about the result of the wax and i remembered jhm that he chose that kind of work to pay cheaper then the real work that i suggest for ****, so i remembered them that they chose that cheap work with no warranty.. i ll be more then glad to come back if they pay the $1000 thousand difference, because of this is the work i have to do to restore the boat. I told them many time that the work they were asking me it had big chances to fail, and you can see what happened.

I am rejecting this response because his response does not address my complaint and his comments are false. The price on the work was never as he claimed and was not negotiated. I inquired as to the different option for the hull cleaning and he provided options based on his recommendation of what this new boat needed. As evidenced by the text communication attached he provided a quote for the entire boat work and we then added the hull work as well which I documented in a text along with the detailed scope so that we were on the same page. Regardless of price ultimately agreed to or how many workers he had on the job which are irrelevant, the work should have been completed as agreed to. We asked ******** to come by after we reviewed the work and noticed some incomplete items. He indicated at the end of the job if there was anything missed to let him know and he would come by since he is often in our area. We contacted him and he indicated he was busy on a big job but would come. See attached text exchange of his many communications that he would come by and timing. He never showed up and then stopped responding all together. If he would have had acted professionally and come by he would have seen the areas that needed to be addressed that were missed or needed cleaning as residue of the wax and machine used. This complaint does not have anything to do with the method or result of the hull wax that was done. His comments as to how the hull should have been waxed is not the issue or matter we want addressed so his response does not even apply to my complaint. I am hoping he has us confused with another client . He also never showed up to review the items we wanted addressed. I did take some pictures as best possible of a few items attached here to show just a few of the details that we wanted addressed. ******** could have come by when in the area and quickly addressed the items. We were trying to get boat completed giving him 2 weeks to address before leaving on a trip and then when we returned. He could have called me to inquire of the items in detail if he wanted an understanding before he came out. He probably could have addressed the items himself fairly quickly and easily and continue with his desire to have satisfied customers and repeat customers. His unprofessional behavior was very surprising as he claims he does so much work in the industry. Maybe he only cares about the corporate clients. I have attached text exchanges and pictures to support. I have surveillance cameras and communications all noted or recorded in support of all matters discussed and done hence I am very confident of my complaint. I am confident ******** has no support to any of his false claims. It is a shame a company and person can behave so unprofessionally and then speak such lies. However I have sufficient support to dismiss his false claims. I was hoping this formal complaint with evidence would have ******** reach out to resolve amicably any misunderstanding to end this matter and we can part amicably with no further action. Maybe with this evidence to remind ******** of our job scope and details it would lead to a better response and not require more action on our part.
