Michaelson's started OK in June 2023 but deteriorated all the way to the end. Under an extended warranty contract that used Michaelson's left us no choice for repair. You may have a choice. Angela called to set up the initial visit and told us the technician would come out and if parts are needed they would send them and then come back and repair. Since we were leaving the next day no one would be home to receive them. I was then informed that parts would be send to shop. Tech came out and indicated two processing boards needed to be replaced and parts would be sent to us. I informed him we would not be here for months and he indicated parts would be sent to the shop. In a few weeks neighbor noticed package on the front lawn and brought it in. Not sure how long they were our there on the ground. As Angela required we called back one week before returning, we called but two weeks before to set up schedule. I reminded Angela to call my phone number and not my wife's. It was set up for a Monday after 2:00 since we had a doctor's appointment AM. On the way back from doctor a call indicated tech would be there in 20 minutes & would not wait. Had neighbor let him in. He was gone before we got home. In two days went to use the dishwasher and it did not work. Many calls and messages to Michaelson's and was finally told the ticket was closed out and they were not willing to send anyone out to verify their work. At this stage, even if we get anything from the warranty company, the cost to us to replace the unit will be at least $500. If you have a choice, do not use Michaelson's. Current error code on dishwasher is bad main circuit board which was supposed to be replaced. Either it was not replaced or was replaced with a bad board. We had an extremely difficult time in locating you in our system. We did not have you listed in our database under the name of **********. Since we do over a hundred service calls a day out of our office and have approximately 150 emails pass through our system daily as well, finding you was extremely difficult without an address or phone number. ****** did an extensive deep dive search and found a reference to you in an email back in October of 2023.
Here is what we finally ascertained from our database and email. She finally tracked you down by doing a search of your corporate email. The last email we could find was from 10/20/23 2:54 PM. The service call was set up under the name of *********************** not **********. Here is what we have in our system.

It appears we never did receive a dispatch to come back out. ****** just scrubbed all of our BWG/Centricity dispatches for the last six months and never saw another one issued as a recall. We are not allowed to come back without a dispatch. If we came back out without a dispatch, we would be in violation of our contract with your extended warranty company BWG/Centricity. Because they are the warranty provider, they want to be involved every step of the way due to any liability issues. As far as addressing the issue of parts being sent to your home when in fact our notes show that we had requested them to be shipped to the office may have been caused by your warranty company ordering the parts.Once we got notification that the parts were shipped to your home instead of the office, we tried to get a the tech to pick up the parts, but according to our internal notes they were already in the home. We can also assure you the tech that was in your home would have tested the unit and not left you with a non-working unit. We are not sure what else we can do for you for something that was completed out in our system back in October of 2023 and why you have waited until February of 2024 to file this complaint. We do empathize with you that your warranty company and Rices did not follow through with you in a timely fashion back in October of 2023 to send us a dispatch to come back out.We assure you we take all complaints very seriously but it appears from our notes that your issue was not with us.Customer Response

What their response failed to address was that Michaels never came back immediately after the unit was found not working after the repairman left. Not sure why they would close out a repair and not respond when the unit was not working. The warranty company should not have to jump hoops to fix a repair that was not correct. Michaelson's pawned off the incident as they do not stand behind their repairs and make the customer fend for themselves. I look as if I am the customer of Michaelson's once they come in and do the work, and the warranty company did not come in take the unit apart and put it back together. I did not do that either. What is so hard about coming back and checking their work. No one was home to see that it actually worked. They changed the time from after 2:00 pm to after 12:00 PM which we were coming home from a doctor's appointment when they showed up. It is so sad when so many companies do not stand behind their work. The warranty company did not do anything wrong, Michaelson's did not fix the unit correctly.Michaelson's Appliance Repair Response

Mr. K*********, We appreciate you taking the time to express how you feel that this service call that was done and completed in our system five months ago should have played out. Let me assure you that if you had called us directly and did not have an additional warranty on the unit, we would have been out promptly and addressed any additional issue you may have had with your appliance. Once a warranty service call is completed in our system, the invoice is immediately processed through our software. As we stated in our last rebuttal, "We are not allowed to come back without a dispatch. If we came back out without a dispatch, we would be in violation of our contract with your extended warranty company BWG/Centricity. Because they are the warranty provider, they want to be involved every step of the way due to any liability issues". Again also reiterating from our previous reply, we never received an additional dispatch from your warranty company five months ago to come back out to address any additional issues. We are not sure what reason you are making this review since this incident happened five months ago and was closed out in our system with no apparent followup from your extended warranty company. Also according to our notes, there was no followup with your selling dealer as well. Thank you for the opportunity to again address your review. It was so nice to get a technician that determined what caused our GE dishwasher to not turn on. He ordered the repair parts and had them installed today and now it's working .
