I took my Jeep to AJ brothers as I was referred here by a neighbor. Everything I heard about this place was great. But it ended up being a nightmare and I am out 1800$ with a Jeep in worse shape than when I dropped it off.I took my Jeep in and stated that the transmission felt wonky. I was approached by a mechanic named "Manny". ***** told me my transmission fluid was low and that it needed to be topped off. This worked for about a day. I brought it back with the same issue and was told that it needed a new front seal for the transmission. I left my car overnight and it was replaced. After getting my Jeep back the problem still persisted. I was told that the transmission needed to be pulled and that the rear seal was leaking. They charged me 1000$ upfront with no receipt and I was dumb and paid. They sent the transmission the the "Best transmission guy in *****" to look it up and down. He stated that all of the seals needed to be replaced so I said go ahead and do that. Fast forward a few days and I get the Jeep back. STILL THE SAME ISSUE. I brought it back to AJ brothers and was told it was now the torque converter. At this point I had enough. They had my Jeep for two weeks at this point and still had no idea what they were doing. I asked to talk to "Manny" and was told that he quit and threatened to do damage to my Jeep. The torque converter was changed and I paid another 800$ cash with no receipt. I have the Jeep back now and it is in worse shape than when I brought it in. They messed with my serpentine belt and pulleys. I have been scammed so save yourself the time and go to another mechanic. I am sure their body shop is good, but they have had 4 different mechanics within the past two months. I am out 1800$ cash and I have left at least 10 voicemails and text messages with the owner ***** with no response.Like I said ive heard great things about this shop, but im telling you that this is nothing short of a nightmare and I have been scammed out of $1800. Beware.

      Hi ****,

**************************** brought his jeep to the shop and did not speak to the owner of the business but to a

subcontractor (*****) and made a deal to fix the transmission oil leaking. He then decided to

talk with ***** (owner) that he just purchased the jeep and its leaking transmission oil. Recommended seals and torque converter.

The jeep was there for transmission oil leakage and which was fixed by the mechanic. He then asked to do more work on the jeep so the payment he made of $1800,00 was for work as listed: fixed transmission leakage, in & out transmission, replaced valve cover gasket, replace Ormanic balancer, replaced fan belt, replaced master cylinder, replaced brake booster, replaced Torque convertor, oil change, add transmission oil, repair door handle, cosmetic painting on left and right step boards, cosmetic painting of the engine bay. removed AC control, removed AC compressor, removed AC condenser, Labor, Parts and Materials. The vehicle was at the shop less than two weeks. This person is very disrespectful and keeps on demanding more work on the vehicle and does not want to pay. After he took the vehicle, he then came back to do more work which ***** did. He still owes money for that work, he said he will return to pay and to date he never came back to pay. All the work that was completed on his vehicle caused a financial loss to the shop.

He was referred to the shop and he heard wonderful things about the workshop and the owner. He saw the ****** rating as well. He knows the owner will go above and beyond for customers and he took advantage of the shop.

      Thank you,

I am rejecting this response because:

      Sincerely,

      *************************************

The transmission was never fixed. I was scammed out of 1800$. Attached is the proof of the transmission still leaking, as well as the many times I contacted ***** about the issue and he just ignored my text messages and phone calls and never responded to anything. I requested my old parts be returned to me, but he sold them instead. I asked multiple times for a receipt, but was told he only takes cash and upfront payments. He still cannot provide a receipt for the work he did because he knows he is a con artist and stole money from me.

I have taken the Jeep to a new shop and have receipts and written statements that say that *****'s shop actually did not do the jobs that he said that they did to my Jeep. ***** caused more damage to my Jeep than when I originally brought it in.

I should have known when he took cash only and cash up front that I was running into a con artist, but I thought he was a good and trustworthy man. I was wrong. I was duped.

Please look over the attached pictures and they will confirm that he did not in fact fix my transmission and in fact ignored my text messages, phone calls, and voice mails because he knew he did not do the job, but already had my money. Once he had my money he ignored me and any attempt to remedy the situation.
