***** was purchased for my daughter in July and we picked it up on Sunday 1/22/2023. (********************** / Invoice SO #****) According to their 'measurements' they ordered her a size 8. Completely understand things vary in how they fit but generally she's a size 2. The dress was falling off of her and we are a very unhappy customer. The 8 was supposedly ordered for her hip area - which was still quite to big. Any wedding dress needs altering however it would take a lot of altering and when spending $3,138 at this business we do not feel we should have to have something altered to that extent. Spoke with store manager who was professional and nice but said the only option was they could remeasure her to see what they get now since weight loss is common. She has not lost any weight which I relayed; if anything has gained a couple pounds. This was far from a dream day of picking up your wedding dress. I understand every designer fits different but we have tried on other dresses since then that are around same style and a size 0 fit and would even still need to be slightly altered. I have a hard time believing there's that much difference from a zero to an 8. I would be willing to have someone else take her measurements and get a sizing but do not feel like the same store doing this would be of any use.Business response

I am rejecting this response because:I have been sick and unable to hardly talk but did finally got a time setup to go in on Friday February 24th because they are unable to accommodate on a Saturday because its not convenient for them. Really doesnt seem to matter what is convenient for their customers that is very unhappy Weve already been told that brides lose weight so I dont see what the point is to have to lose work time and drive an hour for them to tell us that. I do not see how this is going to make the situation better as someone other than this shop should be able to verify measurements and a dress size to compare. We do not want the dress altered as much as it will need to be because if it were to not be done to our liking it would be harder to get rid of. No one above the local store manager has even bothered to contact us which is very disheartening and will also be taking our story to social media. Very displeased in this bridal shop!

On August 13, 2021 I had my first appointment at The White Magnolia (TWM). I found one dress I was interested in buying. I asked if they needed to take my measurements but they said it was not necessary since I had not made a decision. That weekend, I had another appointment at their "sister store" ******* ****** Exactly two weeks later on August 24, I returned to TWM to try on the dress again and made a final decision to purchase the gown. We did the whole "say yes moment". After changing back to regular clothes, I asked if they needed to take my measurements and the rep working there said, no, that they can pull it from their sister store. Having never bought a wedding dress before, I did not know the difference. I told the store that my mother would call to make our payment and finalize the deal. All parties knew that the dress had to be purchased before 9/1 to avoid delays, issues, and although for time to alter. Two days later, 8/26 my mother called. No answer, no returned call. She called every working day for 3 weeks. My wedding planner got involved. She learned that they had indeed not ordered the dress and no measurements on file. I was not available to come into the store for a third time and told her they told me they were going to use the measurements from the sister store. All the dress details are on the side so measuring this dress as close to accurate as possible is key to preserve the designers look. Because of the incompetency of the sales staff they encouraged us to buy additional material for $75 to fill the bottom half of the side. Normal alterations cost for wedding gowns are $300 to mine are now $700 bc of the size. I attempted to call TWM and find a resolution from March 18 - 28. They never returned our call. Amount paid: $3,700.The business did not try to resolve this matter. Order #**** Seeking: $1,000 in billing adjustment, we also HIGHLY RECOMMEND management training and conflict resolution training for the new store manager.Business response
