We have received a series of invoices for work that was not performed. This business has not been asked to perform any services and have not provided any services. On or about August 27, 2023 I returned their invoice with a not-so-nice request for them to quit sending us invoices. That particular invoice was the third or fourth they sent. Received another today which I put back in the mail drop with "Return to Sender" notated.Business response

In August of 2022 Apex pest Control merged with Hughes Exterminators. The property at ******************************************************. Had a preconstruction termite treatment done by Apex. The notices ************** received were renewal notices for this warranty. On 9/7/23 we received notification from ************** to cancel this account. The account was cancelled, however another renewal notice had already been generated by our billing company. ************** has been cancelled out of our system and he should not receive any more notices. We apologize to ************** for any confusion this has caused.Customer response

Hughes Exterminators PO BOX ****** *****, ** 33689-1122 ******* Office ************ Above is the return address on the $210 bill I was sent via ***** I also received the same bill a month ago. I sent it back stating I did not contact this company for service and to not contact me again. Today I again received the same bill. I looked up reviews for Hughes Exterminators on line and found that the same billing was happening to others. When the reviewers called the company to complain, it didnt do any good and they still continued to get the bills. If this form of advertising is legal I will put the bill in recycle when I receive it. If not , I dont want to receive bills from Hughes Exterminators.Business response

Hughes Exterminators recently merged with Apex Pest Control. This complaint is from a "former" customer of Apex for approximately 20 years and we now handle his existing termite warranty. ************ was due for renewal in February (2/23) and will be cancelled once its 90 days past due. What has probably occurred is this individual may not have received the notification letter stating Apex is now operating under Hughes Exterminators or they may have thrown the letter away thinking it was junk mail? We continue to attempt to reach our customers multiple times to prevent the cancellation of their termite warranty.Business response
