Signed a contract 10/8/21 to have windows replaced on the whole house. Was told by 2/22 we would have windows ready for installation. February comes around no windows. Told manufacturing delay. Our hands are tied at this point. 4/4/22 spoke with Elsa told windows ready beginning of May and we would be called 2 weeks after delivery. 5/10/22 left voice mail for eta of windows, Elsa called and stated still waiting on a May delivery. 6/1/22 called for eta again. Had to leave a voice mail again. Left 2 messages on 6/1/22 and now no response. Through out this entire process we have received no communication. We have initiated every call to inquire about status and follow up. They took our deposit in October and we have gotten nothing but run around. No return calls, no windows, no communication. As far as I'm concerned this company should not be doing business at all. I wish to get my deposit back and wash my hands of this company. I can only imagine what it will take to get anything fixed if installation is ever to happen. I'm over this company. Want money back and never will I do business again.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/06/13) */ First, we would like to apologize to this homeowner for the delay in getting his windows. During these very challenging times all manufacturers have run into labor and supply chain issues. PGT, the manufacturer of the windows in question, has had these same issues. PGT does not provide any specifics to when product would be delivered with 100% certainty, as they to do not know when these issues will be resolved. Every time the homeowner reached out for information our team provided them with the best information we had available at that time. The final approval was received from the HOA on January 20, 2022, which would put the anticipated delivery date for these windows as per the contract they signed in the beginning of July. The contract clearly states that "estimated factory delivery is minimum of 24 weeks from HOA approval, change order, final measure". We are still waiting on the completion of the windows and delivery from PGT. As soon as these windows arrive to the Weather Tite warehouse we will call the homeowner to schedule the installation. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/06/13) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) The only truth in their response is that on January 20th I responded to them with HOA approval. They left out the fact that we told the rep Mr. B. that our HOA approvals are only valid for 90 days. That is why Mr. B. hand wrote on the contract in his handwriting on both copies Final measuring date. We would apply for HOA approval allowing 90 days to complete. This was explained and discussed in great detail with Mr. B. It was an absolute deal breaker. If windows were 24 weeks out my HOA approval would never be in place or on time during this process. That is why Mr. B. hand wrote on the contract final measure. According to that stipulation that Mr. B., company representative, added to the contract the 24 weeks started November 1, 2021. The final measure was completed in October. Windows should have been here no later than April 25th 2022 Looking forward to how the company will respond to other promises from Mr. B. like the R&R of window coverings, paint, screens and more. Fortunately have all those promises in an email from Mr. B. According to their contract they are in breach and should refund my money $5000.00 and void this contract. In January I was lead to believe they had not even ordered the windows yet in January andI told them at that time it was a problem. They did not care and said I was bound by the contract. They are in breach. Their company representative lied and the company needs to stand behind their rep and void contract and refund the $5000.00. Down payment. Consumer Response /* (4200, 11, 2022/07/01) */ (The consumer indicated he/she had nothing new to add) No response from company. Go figure. No contact from the company throughout this entire process. As I stated cannot wait to see how they stand behind their rep with all the other promises made. Good thing I have those in writing. Business Response /* (4000, 14, 2022/07/07) */ The windows have been scheduled for installation to begin July 25th.Initial Complaint

I signed an agreement for new window in my home and give 30% deposit. I was made aware that the wait time for the windows was 9/10 months. After the initial meeting with the Weather Tite representative, Patrick V., I never heard form the company again. After 9 or so months, I called the company to find out about my order. I was told they delay was a few months longer. I got a text from the rep thanking me for my patience, then nothing more. As it is almost a year since I placed my order and I was given no definitive information, I decided to cancel my order and wanted my deposit returned. Suddenly, the 'phone calls started. After 'phone call from a woman named Adrianne, who tired to convince me to not cancel my order, and, surprise, surprise, my windows were delivered a couple of days before my conversation with Adrianne. I question the quality of the product (see other BBB reports). Are the windows from cache in a warehouse somewhere? I question the quality of the product. Adrianne never mentioned the window delivery until another call a day later. I told her I did not want to do business with Weather Tite because of their terrible customer service and lack of communication. Adrianne said she could not handle a cancellation. Judy, Ken, or Tom would call me and deal with the cancellation. That has not happened. Weather Tite does terrible business; they have no customer service, they cannot deliver their product, they have no concept of scheduling, and because of this, and as mentioned earlier, I suspect the quality of their product is not good (see other BBB reports). They commit consumer fraud and should not be allowed to conduct business. I'm a senior citizen, 81 years old. I consider their rude treatment of me as a form of elder abuse.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 11, 2022/06/13) */ Contact Name and Title: Judy K. Vice President Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXX Contact Email: *****@wtwindows.com First, we would like to apologize to this homeowner for the delay in getting his windows. During these very challenging times all manufacturers have run into labor and supply chain issues. PGT, the manufacturer of the windows in question, has had these same issues. PGT does not provide any specifics to when product would be delivered with 100% certainty, as they to do not know when these issues will be resolved. At the end of January Mr. reached out to find out if we knew when his product would be in and we let him know it was showing end of April and Mr. was good with that answer. This was in line with his contract that stated estimated 9-10 months from final measure, HOA approval, or change orders as Mr. stated in his complaint. In March, Mr. spoke with his representative and again asked about his product and was again told it still looked like end of April to which again, he replied that was fine. On Friday April 29th we received a shipping ticket that the windows where on the truck they dropped off that afternoon. On Monday 5/2 we called Mr. to let him know they did come in and we would like to schedule installation and he stated at that point that he no longer wanted the custom made windows for his home and wanted to cancel and get a refund. Every time the homeowner reached out for information our team provided him with the best information we had available at that time and in this case it was delivered in that exact timeframe. In addition to the complaint Mr. made with the BBB he also made a complaint to other organizations. One of these agencies reached out to try to help and once the exact explanation as above was given, he said he would reach back out to Mr. and see if he could help get this scheduled. That gentleman spoke with this homeowner who then said the homeowner understood and was ready to schedule the installation. We have tried to contact Mr. several times since then to schedule his installation to which he has now again said he no longer wanted the custom made windows.
