Had what I thought was a alternator problem. So I bought one and asked if he could check and replace the alternator. Well since the car return it was running hot so after it cool I noticed that many of the claps where not put on properly. Then I noticed I now had a oil leak. Never had a issue with neither oil or coolant before I took my car in. The car was just purchased 4 months ago. I took my car to another dealership and asked them to check my car and they told me about the issues I was having. Also informed me that what I thought could be the original problem wasn't the problem but something else because I'm still having the same issue with new alternator. Also shop owner told me if he knew it was going to be that in-depth that he would have charged more. So I'm thinking he never did it before so he should have never touched my vehicle. The last mechanic said it could cost up to 6000 dollars to fix . That's a problem that this company should be responsible for.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 12, 2022/03/10) */ After some research I found the work order for ***** *******, I talked to the technician the vehicle came in not starting the customer stated that he needed a starter, and the customer had his own starter which the technician replaced. Coolant was added because, coolant was lost when the pipe was removed to replace the starter, the technician added 1 quart of oil because the oil was 1 quart low. The technician was not asked to check out anything else. The vehicle was picked up and left the business running. After a few weeks passed the vehicle was dropped off at the business, after a couple days Mr. ******* finally called and told the technician that the rear main seal was leaking, and he broke it so he should fix it, well the starter that was replaced is nowhere near the rear main seal and vehicles with over 100K miles, the rear main can start leaking. I do not feel that the technician did anything wrong and the business is not responsible for any other problems with the vehicle. Consumer Response /* (3000, 14, 2022/03/11) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I agree I did pick up the vehicle but will also note I only drove it from his business to my current address. The car wasn't driven again until the owner of the Audi returned from a trip. Upon two days of driving it she reported that the vehicle was running hot and that now the oil light started to come on. Well I add the fluids to see what would happen. Well two days later again she let me know the car was running hot and the add fluids alarm showed again. This time I seen for myself that fluid was leaking out. I traced the problem and seen where two claps had not been properly replaced and liquid was coming from both ports. I fix those repairs and filled the anti freeze and add oil again. The next morning I noticed a oil stain in our garage. Now I know how to read a dip stick and I didn't overfill the unit. So now I decided to take it to another shop that was closer to home to let them check it out. After a day at the repair shop the repair tech informed me that I had a oil leak and he didn't know where it was coming from. So I call the S&C repair shop to inform him there seems to be problems with the Audi that wasn't there before it was serviced at the shop. Now I can tell you when she went to see her car she told me that parts and pieces where everywhere. And that the car wasn't ready when she went to get it. So I'm not sure what happened but it never ran hot and never had a oil leak. The car was purchased less then 6 months ago and now all this. Sorry I don't think so. Parts where missing and parts not put on correctly and her and him got into it at his shop. So I'm not buying the 100,000 mile. This all started at his shop. Even if I brought in a new starter if it wasn't the starter why did he change it. Same problem happened days after she drove it. Business Response /* (4000, 18, 2022/04/02) */ I stand by my former response.
