On several occasions and axel works, has gave us less than outstanding service. On February 29, 2024 **** abandoned finish a job they were contracted to finish from a ***** owners insurance claim. 12/29 before putting the dry wall back up their guys noticed a leak in the wall, they called a plumber out to fix said leak so that could put the dry wall up. The plumber left our water turned off and Axel works was notified and responded with no empathy stating what do you want me to do about it. In Early January their receptionist called to schedule for their guy to come out 01/17/24, they didnt show up. On 01/31/24 called to finally try to finish the job, I cant calls at work and ******* was told this, we agreed a while back to texting me. I then receive a letter in the mail on 2/17/24 threatening a lien on my property. I called had conversations with **** about their poor communication and how they have dragging this out and just showing up when ever they want with notice . They held to my house key for when they did mitigation services on the property back in 08/2023. Which the brought back in December after texting in October of return my house key. I had to chase them down to even give them deposit, to complete the services. Turns out the plumber they hired before putting up the dry wall didnt fix the leak and they have cause additional damages and now demanding payment. When talking to Rich 02/29 he stated you have another leak we are knocking off 200 dollars and leaving the casing. I asked him why would there be a leak if your plumber fixed it on 12/29. He avoided the question. Today after hiring my own plumber I was shown it a leak in the same spot where his guy claimed to have repaired. I called **** to inform him and I was informed by **** do not call back. I would like his surety bond information. Deduction what I have to pay to fix the additional damages caused by their carelessness.

This job goes back and has a little more information than was provided.  We initially responded on 9-1-2023 for water mitigation needed at the property dues to a leak around a bathroom, laundry room and garage.  When we arrived we noticed there was growth of more than 10 SF.  At this point we informed ******************* insurance company as we would need to get a mold assessor out to the property to inspect and prepare a mold protocol.  We in the mean time turned the water off and left it off.  We were assigned by ******************* insurance company of which they do not include monies to fix the actual leak.  They only cover for resulting damage.  We advised *************** that she would need to get the leak fixed as this was not something covered by insurance.

We completed a full mold remediation of the garage, half bathroom and laundry room.  I have attached the Post Remediation Verification of which passed on the first try.

After the mold remediation was complete we did the repairs that were approved by insurance.  The only outstanding it was some trim and casing around the garage entry door to the laundry room.  Axel Works attempted to set up an appointment multiple times with *************** however she could only meet evenings or weekends.  We advised we would need a time during business hours.  It went on for some time to set up an appointment however we were not able to.  At this point we sent an intent to lien letter as we have a timeframe to be able to file a lien.  Once we sent the intent to lien letter we received a call right away from *************** and were able to set up an appointment.

We sent a ********* 2-29-2024 to complete the trim around the garage entry door to the laundry room.  When we arrived *************** refused service and our ********* noticed water damage and mold where it originally was 4-5 months prior.  We had replaced all of the drywall already.  *************** blames us for this damage however she never got the leak repaired.

I have attached a photos showing our new drywall was installed on 10-11-2023 and then new water damage and mold on the drywall on 2-29-2024.  No where in between these two dates did *************** mention a water leak still active either.

*********** went to the property on 12-29-2024 to connect the toilet in the half bathroom.  That was all they did.  We did not send the to fix a leak and they did not attempt to fix a leak.  This was supposed to be handled by *************** however she never completed the job.  ***************** did not pay us and we did not have it in our estimate to do.  *************** received a copy of the estimate of which does not mention fixing a leak around the water heater all.  I have attached our plumbers invoice for the work completed on 12-29-2024.

We offered a $200 credit of which we do stand by.  We had to send the ********* out to fix but were denied.  We are still offering the $200 credit given we didn't install the trim around the door.  We sent the intent to lien paper work already and I did sign the actual lien paper work yesterday.  If *************** fails to pay her balance minus the $200 the lien will be in affect in the coming days.  Once the balance is taken care of we can remove the lien.

I am rejecting this response because: I am very upset that **** would lie. I trusted this company to repair my home but all I got was a bunch of disappointment on several occasions I had to **** them down or they would show up without even calling. I have attached an email where I had to contact them three times and my husband one time just to pay them to get started. Unfortunately, all conversations in regards to the leak in the wall were in person or over the phone. Axel works hired a plumber. They stopped work. The plumber came in to fix said leak ************ was not there to install the toilet and the plumbing fixings in the bathroom, that was a different occasion, when the plumbing was added back into the bathroom, I have a neighbor ************************* at 9 oclock at night turn the water back on from the plumber that **** had called when they told me there was a leak they did not tell me to get a plumber originally back in September they were called out for the water heater that leaked all over the garage. Hence why they had to take down the drywall in the bathroom  and the other side of the garage . I was not home when they showed up on February 29 I was at work I did not decline services when I called Axel Works to complain about the leak in the mold that was forming on the wall again that is when **** said he was abandoning the job, he stated that he would give a $200 credit off for the door frame and he left the material here. I asked him what happened I thought your plumber fixed the leak he was saying that it was the water heater leaking. It was not the water heater I have since put in a claim with my insurance ******* peninsula and the claims adjuster came out and took pictures and could see in the wall where you see that light white pipe that is where his plumber claimed to have fix the leak. If the water was never turned on in the home, how could he have checked to see if the leak was fixed? Therefore, why would they go forward with putting drywall back up? I have since hired another plumber, who came out and fix the leak and replace the damaged drywall and floorboard, and put up the casing that Axel works failed to do. it is a shame that you guys would lie and say that you never hired a plumber to fix a leak in the wall when I am a woman that does not know about plumbing I know how to hire a plumber, but you guys showed me that leak and told me you had it and had a plumber and I trusted you if this is how you do business I dont think youll be in business long.

      Sincerely,

      *******************
