      - RTS (Roof Top Services) Contract signed September 21, 2023 to replace roof for $52,469.48. Paid thus far $26,111.84 - ************************* represented me to my insurance company. Paid thus far $3,730.26 - I have been given a number of excuses for the work not starting, primarily the company owner being sick - I received a call last week that the work would start on January 22nd. I received another call shortly after that the work would start January 24th. I was originally promise the work would be completed before Thanksgiving or shortly after.- I had a solar panel removed from ******* based on conversations with the roofer at a cost of $1,155.- As of right now, nothing has been done. The roofer is not answering their phone and not returning calls - I want a refund so I can hire another roofer. I talked to a contractor today and was told the roofing business is slow right now, and I should be able to get a roof started within two weeks.

RTS has refused to honor their 5 yr workmanship warranty. Roof was installed in 2018. I found leak damage under the fascia and soffit (9/21) After calling multiple times the service guys came out. Showed them both areas of concern. Using a water hose, they saw the leak, saw a blade cut in the foam roof and what they called fish lip in the shingles. Pictures were taken for the office and they said not to worry it would be taken care of. After no response from RTS I called multiple times in 11/21. I was finally told by a person answering the phone, this damage was not their work, per the owner. To verify the accuracy of this decision, I had other contractors come out to inspect the roof problem areas. Results of those inspections were: a loose nail was found under the shingle in the leaking area, the shingles at the transition to the foam roof were not sealed allowing water under the shingles.( As a courtesy the contractor temporarily sealed the area.) Part of the drip edge of foam roof was removed and a portion left behind the gutter was damaged and pulled loose allowing water intrusion. The foam roof had no problems and was not being replaced and there was no reason to remove this drip edge. Both the blade cut and drip edge removal compromised the seal of the foam roof. Both contractors inspecting the roof said I could have additional damage that can't be seen until repairs are made. During the original installation, I saw loose nails and the foam roof being exposed (among many other issues) and called attention to these things. They were supposed to be taken care of per Carlos the supervisor. RTS says they use their own employees, not true, this was a subcontractor and there was no supervision over the quality of the work. When the roof is leaking from shingles replaced by your guys, it is workmanship. When the leak is a result of damage that was done by your guys and not corrected it is workmanship.

Business Response /* (1000, 14, 2022/04/11) */ Ms. *****, We apologize for dropping the ball after our service technicians visited your property. Unfortunately, neither of the service technicians nor our crew supervisor are still with the company. Certainly, this must have added to the lack of follow-up on our part. Rest assured whether it is a service technician or a crew supervisor they are ALL employees of Roof Top Services. We have forwarded this to our warranty department to schedule with you immediately. They will be in communication, if not already, to get this matter resolved as soon as possible. If you have any questions, they can be directed to ******@RoofTopServices.com. We're most happy to work with you to ensure all is well with your roof and to see that you are satisfied.
