On 11/4/2023, the 2013 Chevrolet Equinox was found on CarGurus from an independent dealer, *****************************. ****** ********************* ************) stated that he was an independent dealer, and he was not. He worked under ************************* *************) the owner of Autorama -Alpharetta *************). ****** sold me the car out of his driveway and told me that it had passed emissions and handed me the title. Once I got home, I noticed the title said Autorama -*******. I took the title and the truck to the tag office immediately and this is when I was told that Autorama still owned the truck, and this was not a PRIVATE SALE. After going back and forth with ****** and ****, the title was finally released. I took the truck to the Emissions place on 11/15/2023 and it did not pass. I took the truck to get a reading and the FixFinder gave a code of P0420 stating that it needs a new Catalytic Converter. I spoke with ****, and he said he would correct the problem. I drove to his dealership over 3 times for him to only lie to me and not have any parts or really try to correct the problem. Clean Air Act of GA states all cars must pass. After several missed appointments and phone calls telling me that they ordered the new catalytic converter and that it was in the mail, it finally arrived. I reminded **** that there are 2 catalytic converters in the Equinox and he told me that he knew. On December 22, 2023, the converters were replaced at his facility, Autorama. The Equinox passed emissions and I received my tag on December 26, 2023. On 4/19/24 I took the truck to the ******************* dealership and thy stated that the catalytic converters both need to be replaced and they are old and not working. **** and his mechanics DID NOT replace the converters like they said that they did. I have attempted to contact **** but he is not answering. I know I have been sold a REALLY BAD truck and I would like my money back for my purchase, tax, tag, and title. They can have the truck back.
