11/14: VERBAL AGREEMENT: Agreed to a video and podcast shoot with first episode to be ready 11/24 for launch on 11/25 11/16: PAYMENT: Made 100% payment against invoice #**** for $500. No deposit, cancellation or refund clauses on the invoice. 11/16: CHANGE OF RECORDING DATE: ***** from the production team asked to change recording date from Friday 11/19 to Sunday 11/21. We agreed. No mention of this date affecting studio's ability to deliver by previously agreed deadline. 11/20: STUDIO AGREEMENT: On Saturday 20/11 at 21h05, ***** emails me FOR THE FIRST TIME, a document "Studio *********************** detailing, inter ***** the production turnaround time of **** business days. I do not see this email as I don't check emails on a Saturday night. 11/21: DISPUTE: On Sunday morning at 11h54, ***** sends a text alerting me to the email. I confirm that I'm happy with the rest of the clauses except the one pertaining to the turnaround time as this will mean they miss the agreed deadline of 25 November. ***** advises FOR THE FIRST TIME that they will not be able to meet our deadline, this escalates into a heated text exchange which culminates in Sydney, his business partner, calling me and after a heated exchanged, proceeds to cancel my booking "as she would not want to work with me as a client". She advises my refund will be processed after deducting a deposit. Again, there has been no prior mention of a deductible deposit, or how much this deposit is.11/21: Notice of Cancellation received asking me to sign before refund is processed.11/22: I respond to the email and advise I will not sign the Notice of Cancellation & advise why.
