I was informed by ****** and ********* that I would receive a $125 credit to my account due to an unfair and unwarranted late fee assessed. The late fee was charged as a result of my late payment due to Hurricane *** and we were without power for 7 days. Management did not take this storm into consideration of late payments for rent and were unforgiving. Requests to remedy this situation since September have gone unanswered. I was told I would be credited but no credit has been issued. My messages and emails go unanswered. Please help.Business response

Thank you for bringing these concerns to our attention. We strive to provide excellent service to our residents at Greystar. However, a Community name has not been provided. If you would like to provide a community name, please do so to enable us to research this matter and work toward a resolution. Thank you.Customer response

The property is ********** in *****, **. I paid the $125 late fee, and *************************** removed the charge after I already paid it. I have tried to explain that just by removing the fee does not credit my account as I paid the fee prior to her removal. I am demanding that she credit my account the full amount of $125. This is highly unprofessional and quite frankly incompetent of your property manager not to consider our state, especially our area, was under a state of emergency during and after this Category 4 Hurricane. I simply cannot grasp why ********** management is this inadequate in understanding what a state of emergency is and subsequently penalized me for paying my rent 12 hours late. Ive never, in the 2 years I resided here, been late with my rent. Please advise your course of action. Your staff should be retrained or fired. They have a troubling pattern of not responding to resident concerns.
