I have owned two *** Stores in ******* for over six years. Last October we purchased some specialty paper online from a company called Veritiv.The product was good, we paid our **** via credit card on October 22, 2021. The problem is they continue to harass our small business with Third notice/**** not paid. We have sent emails with the company name, date invoice was paid, all required information on December 31, and January 19. The Point of Contact, ******, is out of *********. My business partner is Cuban, fluent in Spanish and called and left a message as well. We just received another past due notice in the mail dated 31 January 2022.I believe this is a scam to cause small businesses who are overwhelmed or disorganized to pay the same **** numerous times. Veritiv has made it near impossible to contact anyone and continues to send us past due notices. If we did not maintain good financial records we would have paid the **** again.We dont desire any compensation, but we do need the company to acknowledge that the **** was paid. I would also like to note that I believe this business is attempting to collect payment on the same **** numerous times for those small business owners who are overwhelmed these days.Customer response

My name is ********************************* and I submitted a complaint, it was assigned the above case number and I received an email that you had not received any information from Veritiv the company I had a problem with.
I wanted to let you know yesterday I did receive a phonecall from *************************, of the Veritiv security department, and he called me directly to discuss my problem. It turns out that our manager did order the same product twice, one day apart, and although we paid one amount that I continued to reference, there was another **** in the same exact amount one day later that i did not know about.
************************* provided great assistance with copies of bills and I apologized profusely. We did discuss that much of this could have been avoided if Veritiv provided a better billing department representative who could communicate with us in english and not have a ********* phone number and obviously is not able to respond to the questions customers have.
I wanted to ensure you know that i did receive a phone call from the company and i am very happy with my experience. I am sure this would not have happened were it not for you contacting the company. Thank you.
