SCAMMER,*****, THEIF! BEWARE! May 6, 2022. My ac would only cool for a couple of hours. I would have to turn it off for a while, then it would cool again. I spoke with ***** the owner & explained exactly what was happening. He said the charge for a service call was $79 & that Freon was $149.00 per pound. He said it could take up to 10lbs to refill ($1400). I told him the unit was 22 yrs old & that I would like to get some estimates to replace it. He quoted me $5465 for a 2 ton Rheem unit. I thought was a decent price. He said he could charge me $600, then changed it to $750. He would come out completely fill my unit with freon & give me 50% of the $750 ($350 off a new HVAC. His technician came out that afternoon. Very nice guy. When he filled my unit it only took 1 pound and a half of freon. I immediately called *****. HE admitted he knew it wouldn't take much freon because it was still cooling. I requested he ONLY **** me for the services rendered $225.00 freon, $79 service call, $304 total + Tax. He laughed and said so your not going to get a new AC from me. I advised I couldn't until I closed on my refi. I am unemployed and couldn't afford to pay for the repairs. A very good friend of mine offered to pay with his credit card. ***** was aware my friend would be paying. Again I advised ***** via text message to ONLY **** the card for the services rendered $304 + TAX. I text him several times the next few days. He called & text me at 12midnight on a Tuesday & said " ARE YOU UP?" He said he would **** the full amount of $750. I had asked the service ****************** (twice) for a receipt/invoice. I never received. On May 16, 2022, my friends card was charged $750. A week and a half after the service call.. I have to repay the full $750. $450 ripoff.

Customer agreed for us to service and recharge his unit with freon for 750$ I took all the risks regarding how much freon the older unit would require when it only required a couple of lbs of r22, he went crazy over the ****. The larger companies charge 800-1200 to refill a unit; regardless of how much freon... the price was fair & my tech was extremely professional... I offered to perhaps work with ***** but he became belligerent. Started name calling me & acting super uncool. Nobody has scammed this fella. He got the exact hvac services that he contracted for... and I even offered to credit 375$ toward a new AC system~ some folks are impossible to please. Also yes the system had gone up in price when we first spoke due to manufacturing increases in wholsale pricing.

gain when I spoke with ***** I explained how the ** would work (blowing cold air) for a couple of hours & then stop. I turned it off for an hour or so & it would work when I turned it back on. He quoted me $79 for the service call & $149 per pound of freon. Then he said it could take up to 10lbs to refill & that it had to be filled to capacity in order to work. Then he said if it took that much freon to refill the unit he would only charge me $600. Which he quickly changed to $750. He also said if I bought a new HV** system from him he would discount the unit by $375. He quoted me $5465 for a new HV** system. The service technician came out later that day. It only took a pound and a half of freon to fill the unit to capacity. I asked the technician for a receipt. He left without giving me one. I immediately called *****, no answer. Left a ********* a text to only **** me for services rendered $79 service call, $149 1 lb freon + $75 for a half pound of freon. $303 + $24.24 tax= $327.24 should have been the amount charged. I agreed to pay to fill the unit with freon. He quoted me $149 per therm & $750 total if it took 10. lbs. A very good friend of mine called in his credit card. This took place May 6,2022. ***** didnt submit the charge until May 16, 2022. He refused to issue a credit for the overcharge.A week later he quoted me $7500 for the same ac he quoted $5465 the week before. Exactly what risks did you take regarding the freon? The tech came out with a little tank. Same size used on gas grill. His company is not a large company. His ad is in Creative Loafing. Along with all the others. EX. **E HV**, charges $115 per therm, ********** charge. There was no contract! I was never given a receipt/invoice. He had no right nor authorization to charge an additional $400 to my friends card to be rebated when if/when I purchased an HV** from him. I wouldn't buy a - - - - thing from *****-Buckhead Plumbing & HVAC! Would You?
