This company was hired to by ************************* and ***************************** to do home and shed remodeling, everything was going fine until ****************, the husband of the company, was paid ***** of the money. He start slowing down with the his work, not showing up, work sloppy start staying what he was going to do with the project after we specific on what we wanted done. **** knew we had to some electrical work done before completing the sheetrock in the shed. He(****) recommended someone and said that he would contact the electrician. We waited numerous days for the electrician to arrive, he would set dates and times, but no show, Anglela and I decided hire our own electrician. ******* and I was expecting **** to return on September 03, 2022 he never showed, numerous attemps made by phone to contact him and voice messages was left and no reply. On September 4th, **** the home security camara picked **** up going in our shed taking out tools, which belong to him, and lumber that was purchased by me(*************************) for remodeling on my shed. I called **** to ask him why he took the lumbar. He stated, "I took the lumbar to press something down on another job project." He became hostile and asked, "Why? what are you trying to say?" The way **** was talking I and Anglela became uncomfortable. We decided to file a police report of the incident. I asked **** to return the lumbar he took off our property. He came on September 16th to get the rest of his tools and return the lumbar. After leaving, he texted me and the message said, "your wood is on the ground f*** boy." it was not lumbar I purchase he left some cheap and crack lumbar and he was unwilling to return to finish the work and at this point. We don't him to return. We're asking for ******* of the money back for unfinished, sloppy work, and the lumbar he stole. painting the house *****, painting the shed and garage *****, pressure washing shed and house ******, unfinished insulation, sheetrock in shed and lumbar stolen *****Business response

Responding to the complaint of ************************** on july 27th I was called by ************************* and was asked if I could help him with a few repairs to an outside shed.He accompanied me to ********** and I suggested what would be needed to accomplish what he was trying to do. It was a set schedule on when he wanted me to come and help perform work which was only Thursday, Friday and Saturday the other days he had to work so I agreed to help him on those days and advised him that I had a few projects going on before starting, he stated he understood what I do. We had no contract in place because this is my uncle by him being my mother's brother. I gave him a rough estimate of the labor cost of everything he wanted done. Of which was only a rough estimate of labor chargers not of the work that was done. Every process was photographed and documented before and after. In his complaint he stated that on september 4th I came by which was correct after I called him and knocked on the front door which also has a camera which he doesn't speak about and (anglela *******) was home but never answered. So i retrieved tools that were owned by me and only after i called his phone.He called and said he didn't hear me call which he does wear a hearing aid so it may have been difficult for him, but a message was left but he did acknowledge that i called but he didn't hear it. In the statement he also stated i became hostile which i can't recall but after a phone conversation he wanted to stop work and i told him i didn't have a problem with it. In his statement he is asking for $4,800 of money that was never paid because he only paid for work that was done. I never charged him for work that wasn't done! He also stated he filed a police report but nothing was stolen. He also stated that i never returned on september 3, 2022 those were the days he had the electrical come by so we agreed to hold off until he finished his work because the electrical i called couldn't make it due to personal issues which i did let him know. At the conclusion he only paid for work that was done never prepaid for work in advance and there wasn't a contract of work written thru Blast away painting llc only a rough estimate of labor for what he wanted done. Being that he knows the type of work I do he wanted me to help him not do the job in a whole.
