Citiside Properties will not return my calls or emails regarding my refund deposit check of $990.00. I moved out on October 31, 2022 and I have called and emailed numerous times requesting an eta on my refund check. I never missed a payment, and I left the property in great condition. I received an email from ***************************** on December 12, 2022 requesting my forwarding address for my refund check (which I've provided), but I still have not received a response or my refund check. I want two things. I simply want an eta on when I can expect to receive my refund check, and then I want my refund check.Customer response

On 09/07/22 I called citiside about mold in the unit and that it was all over my furniture. I recently just moved here the end of May. I believe that the mold was here before I moved in. The house is a duplex unit in which my neighbor told me that theyve been dealing with the mold for two years. I cant deal with this mold I have a health issue. They sent one of there workers out here, he took pictures and so did I he confirmed it was mold. He checked the air conditioner filter and changed it. He left saying that I would be hearing from someone that will treat the mold. They sent someone to clean the air conditioner vents, and they left a humidifier. But they never sent anyone to treat the mold and mold can make you sick. Ive been calling them and theyve been giving me the round around. They are hard to get in touch with Ive called Ive emailed no response. And Im still living in this house with mold.Unsatisfied Customer Valencia LoveBusiness response

This unit had mold issues in the past. The property was fully remediated of mold. ************* submitted the complaint this year, we sent out plumbers, roofers, and our mold remediation company to search for any sign of moisture that would cause mold. There were no signs of mold in the crawlspace (where the previous mold issues were). We recleaned the air ducts just in case. The only signs of mold were on the furniture that we could find. We offered to have the furniture professionally cleaned which was denied. Having no discernable source of mold, there is nothing more that we can do if Ms. **** does not want her furniture cleaned. The only other source of moisture that we can see as a possible source of mold would just be humidity in the house if the ** was not being run regularly inside.

This Company assumed ownership of our older, working class, non-white duplex community like thieves in the night. Literally, a management representative on New Year's Eve came and left notices on our doorstep about the January 1 payment due "the next day" demanding remittance to an unknown office or website portal never used by the previous owner-who also by the way didn't disclose his intention to sell the property. I along with my neighbors had a rude awakening. Thus, that decision led to unannounced "persons or representatives" attempting to inspect my duplex without reasonable notice during an ongoing pandemic more than once. Citiside also sent contractors to "work on the property" again on short notice creating noise pollution as I attempted to work remotely. (I managed to record the event because I knew the "office would be dismissive" of my rights in this new forced awkward relationship) "Work debris" was left behind.Also, I've never known a company to demand a "***** day lease" be signed in March, then demand an amended "inflated rent" lease with a bogus utility(water) charge. I have lived at my address for six years paying timely rent and water to Dekalb county. The rate for the water service is now an extra, itemized item Citiside is taxing me in order to inflate my original rental amount without any "legal justification" as the *********************** division has Not removed, replaced, or installed any new water meters in my building. Therefore, there should be no upcharge and a recent demand to sign yet again ANOTHER Amended 12 year lease agreement by May 31, 2022 Or Vacate. This is clearly a strong arm move also known as "predatory" management of a Greedy ****************** based company without Any Real vested interest in ******** EXCEPT my duplex showing up as an asset in their "new acquisition" portfolio. To whom it may concern,
You may contact our office to request the reassessment of the lease renewal option. We apologize that your previous property manager did not give you proper notice of selling the property. Often when a property sells, it is our job to do as our client wishes with the terms of the lease. While we can do short term leases, we will comply with Georgia law. Month to month leases do allow for changes at any time with a 60 day notice. This is why we have encouraged everyone to do a year lease. As for demanding rent be paid, rent was due on the 1st no matter who the owner was in accordance with the previous lease in place. We do our best to ensure that the correct owner of the property is paid to avoid problems.

I applied for a property to rent out at ***********************. I spoke with several representatives who stated I was approved verbally. I received a call stating I was denied for the property. I was kind of confused so I just said ok but something told me to call back. When I called back I asked a gentleman what was the status of my application he stated Ive been approved since yesterday I asked him are you absolutely sure he stated yes sir Im looking at it right now. I then said well I just received a call a couple of minutes ago and she stayed i wasnt approved he then said sir Im looking at it right now you have been approved since yesterday 2/14/22 and only one person can be approved for the property so your good to go I then said ok thank you so much. I dont know whats going on with this company but that is unfair to me as a customer Im getting different answers from people that work for the same company I have called other properties and told them to cancel my application because I was approved for this property at *********************** now Im on the verge of being homeless because my move out date is this Friday for my current residence which cant be extended due to someone else has already signed a lease for this unit. And I called other properties I was approved for and asked them to withdrawal my application once I was told I was approved. All this misinformation that was given to me us unfair and as a customer they should be able to make this issue resolved . And all they can say is they apologize. I really wanted that property and I believe there is something else going on that isnt being told to me. All the calls are recorded and I would like them pulled and investigated for this situation they have put me inBusiness response

Once again, we apologize for this situation. The person who was in charge of leasing the day the situation occurred was out sick. A team member that was not familiar with the approval process and did not have the authority to approve applications told you bad information. The employee has since been terminated from the company. As we stated on the phone, your application was not denied. A more qualified application was chosen based on our screening criteria which includes credit score, income, rental history references, and employment history/verification. You could move your application to a different property to be considered. You chose to have you application fee refunded.
Once again, we apologize for the situation.

The company claims i was denied due to my rental history.i explained i don't have any negative remarks on my credit ,rental history i check my credit regularly so i know.they claim I was denied for rental but they false advertised on a low income site to collect application money from low income recipients .they obviously already had an approved application but still.was accepting applications that are $70.i just would like to be refunded .Business response

We are unable to refund your application as the credit check costs money to run. The report does show that you owe money to a previous landlord. You can contact ****************************** to get them to give you something showing that you do not owe them money, we can reconsider your application.
