Boat arrived for diagnosis on 6/29, experiencing issues with stalling after running for over an hour. Upon dropping it off with Wuber, they were pleasantly nice during the initial drop-off and provided updates, which all seemed too good to be true. We assumed we could trust Wuber and that they would communicate honestly throughout the process. However, we were far from wrong. On 7/14, we received an invoice from ******************************** for $14k+...... due to an engine block crack that needed replacement. Seeing this, we decided it was best to part ways with the boat and accept our loss.I requested Wuber to provide an invoice for the diagnosis only, understanding that it included labor and parts. However, we were hit with a $786.83 invoice for a boat that was dead on arrival. We assume that because we didn't choose their $14k+ route, we are now stuck with the $786.83 invoice. We asked for the invoice to be revised on 7/14 since we were being charged for parts that did not fix the issue and were also double-charged for diagnosis repairs that were not related to the cracked engine block in any way. Since 7/14, we have requested a revised invoice that only includes diagnosis charges associated with the engine block. However, Wuber is silent to revise this and does not want to provide a solution.Since then, ******************************** has been charging us $30 daily without prior notice for these fees, which were not communicated when we initially dropped off the boat. As of 8/1, ******************************** is attempting to collect over $600+ in storage fees, along with the $786.83 from the initial invoice, totaling $1467.42. However, most ALL invoices are handled on Net 30 Day terms, but apparently, this is not Wuber Marine's policy (once again, we were not communicated or notified of their payment terms). ******************************** is now holding our boat hostage until we pay the ****** amount of $1467.42, along with the daily/weekly incurred fees. All we ask for is fairness.....Business response
