*Date of Transaction 4/1/22 *On 4/1/22 I paid $5,231.00 - But I have spent between $35,000 - $40,000 with RLB in total *Guaranteed trees and landscape lighting. They have replaced light bulbs and plants for me in the past.* There are 2 dead ****** Juniper trees on the side of my home. The Sod that was planted did not root. There's a light bulb that needs to be replaced.*No, the business has not tried to resolve the problem. I have called, emailed and text on the following dates: 5/2/22, 6/30/22, 7/27/22, 8/10/22, 8/23/22, 8/29/22, 9/30/22, 10/11/22, 10/17/22 and 10/27/22 to both ****** and *******. They both confirmed they'd be out to take care of everything but failed to do so.*I am selecting a refund on the trees after the dead trees are removed. I would typically select a replacement, but ****** stated "it's probably the heat from the brick on the side of the house that killed the trees" so I don't' want RLB have to replace another set, nor do I want to have to excessively contact RLB in the future if there's an issue. The ********************'s were $550 each x 2 =$1,100. It would be great if they could replace the sod and the light bulb like they stated they would though.* Invoice ***** Thanks for your help!Business response

The sod at Mrs. *********** house died as a result of her pool builder damaging over 30 feet of the irrigation line, this was no fault of RLB and we were not notified of the failure of the sod for 3 month, our sod warranty is 30 days from installation. We did have our irrigation repair guy repair this damage to her irrigation at our expense, we did not charge ************************* for this. We have replaced a couple of Mrs. *********** light bulbs, but none are under warranty as the lighting was installed in April 2020. The two ****** Junipers did fail as a result of being planted against a brick wall that she requested as to block her neighbors new pool cabana from her view. We informed her that failure of the trees was possible, but she insisted. We will be sending ************************* a check to refund her for the two ****** Junipers in the amount of $1100.

Hello, there were never any discussions about the ****** Juniper trees' failure to thrive. I would not agree to planting 2 trees' if I was informed, they may not survive by a landscaping group, especially with RLB's lack of responsiveness. I am only requesting that the dead trees be removed as well, in addition to the $1100 refund. Thank you again for your help!Business response

RLB Landscape Group mailed check #**** for $1100 to ************************ on 12/7/22. RLB installed at no charge to ************************* the following: Path and steps leading up to slide that her pool builder did not do, we regraded the slide area that the builder did not do, repaired irrigation cut by pool builder, hauled away some pool builder trash, and hooked up pool auto fill that her pool builder failed to do. ***** services we did for ************************* and were not paid to do total over $6000.
RLB has gone above and beyond to help ************************* and we refunded the full amount of the trees as requested. We will not pay the labor cost to come out and remove the dead trees in addition to the full refund. RLB will not risk the liability of having any of its employees on Mrs. *********** property.******

Unfortunately, there are RLB claims that warrant clarification:
1) I was not involved in the discussions/negotiations between the pool builder and RLB. I was never given any discounts or savings. I paid the full amount due to both the pool builder and RLB. RLB's issue lies with the pool builder.
2) I'm unclear as to why there's a risk to RLB on my property. There has never been a complaint as to what someone did; only what wasn't done that was promised (ie: ******* 6/23/22 "********, we'll take the Juniper out, but we'll wait for cooler weather to install a replacement. I will get by in a couple of days to check the path light and sod as well."
I never wanted to be put in a position to file a complaint. That is why I tried to work everything out with RLB on more than 10 occasions. This dispute could have been resolved so simply for all involved. Thank you again for your help.
