In September I called and filed a dispute against mechanic shop ******* on not fixing my truck but I paid 860.54 split between myself and my husband. so my total was 430.00 so today I notice that my account was negative the amount so I called and questioned why when I sent in the proof I needed that synovus would require. Not only that I had representative from synovus on the call so synovus wouldn't think that I was lying as this bank is not for the customers..!!! So today I called the shop( *******) and recorded the conversation between myself and both managers and they stated that I wasn't getting my money back!!! Okay ******* stated that I wasn't getting my money back because I didn't let them finish my car which was a lie you handed me my keys and the paperwork so that's mean you were done with my truck so I drive my truck home and turned the truck little to behold truck didn't start 860.54 wasted and I'm upset so I requested my money simply because I had to pay to get my truck towed again to another shop that fixed my truck in 2 days not 2 weeks yes it cost me 456.97 but hey it was fix.. today I spoke to 5-6 six different people and a manager and I ask her if she listen to the call and she said she did and that the shop said that the charges was valid but how when my truck was fixed???? So I told her once you take your money out my account please close my account I will not recommend synovus bank to family or friends and they will no longer have my businessSynovus Bank Response

I am a legal "Personal Representative" of my father's trust... I have a copy of the "Comprehensive Transfer Document" my father signed that states all "joint accounts" will be placed into his trust. I requested past statements of my father's account to settle his estate and Synovus refuses to look at my documents from the court of Probate, and told me to speak to my lawyer and seek their assistance in this matter. Why should I have to pay a lawyer, when Synovus has a legal team that can look over my paperwork? They have given me the run around for over a year, never asked for copies of my documents, and refuse to let me speak to their legal department to see what can be done. First, I had to travel 8 hours to their location to prove who I was in person. They did not record any information to prove I went there and told me it was a joint account and was no longer my father's account. The Comprehensive Transfer Document states all joint accounts will be placed in my father's trust! I only wanted copies of the bank statements while my father was alive to settle his estate. Now, they say I need to bring the documents in person to them... most businesses do everything on line! Is this the run around "AGAIN!" Save yourself from a bank that doesn't offer you any service at all, with only automated recordings for assistance ... that doesn't help at all!Synovus Bank Response

Synovus Bank located in ******** ** ***** is the worse bank I have ever been in. Customer Service is awful, bank manager set in her ways, all workers have been Spanish with bad attitudes. This bank wouldn't be recommended to the DEAD that is a PROMISE. After being with them for a super long time they have been found out in the worst way ever. They treated their best customers like dogs, never open to any agreement, you never can talk and voice your side to a story, all very sneaky, totally unprofessional staff, meddles into customers business, private life not pertaining to banking affairs. This bank needs mature older workers that know how to treat customers with number one respect. Young workers don’t cut it, same goes for bank manager. Bias. Very shocking what you hear, see and have been told from bank staff. Treat people like you want to be treated. Not at this bank. WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO RESPECT? (NONE.) THEY NEVER WANT TO WORK ON WEEKENDS THAT IS A KNOWN FACT. NO FLEXIBILITY WHATSOEVER, HOURS DURING THE WEEK ARE VERY MINIMAL FRIDAYS INCLUDED. ANYONE WE KNOWN WOULD NEVER EVER BE RECOMMENDED THIS BUTCHER HOUSE BANK. CUSTOMERS IS WHAT KEEPS THE BANK IN BUSINESS NOT WORKERS. LYING TO CUSTOMERS GOES NOWHERE.Review from De B

I loved this bank and we have had our business account there since 1986. I get a certified letter last week that I have till ***/24 to close my account or it will be closed out that day. I called and they said yes but there was no reason given as to why. According to the fine print they can close you at anytime for any reason or for no reason at all. We’ve had no bad checks written and have not been overdrawn either. I now have to open a new account somewhere to deposit our checks.Synovus Bank Response

I have been a customer for over a decade...... and had business loans, savings, business accounts and several credit cards etc... I have always been very pleased when they where more like a community bank not having a corporate feel. I knew the tellers by name and they knew me. I have moved and closed all of my credit cards on December 11, 2023 which I have all my documentation (and so do they btw) On December 21, 2023 a charge was placed for a few hundred dollars. Now I am in collections and I work very hard to maintain a 800 plus credit score. It is now May 2023 and I have yet to get answers. EVERY time I call the synovus "credit collections" department" they tell me I have to pay all of the fines accrued because I have gotten mail that was not returned to them so I am liable. This makes zero logical sense. They should have closed my card on December 11, 2023 as my email states they did. I have called the branch and many others and cannot get any resolutionSynovus Bank Response

Was a customer with this company for over a year. Paid my bill on time each month, the month of Feb I paid my bill at 8 pm at night on the due date and was charged a 30 dollar late fee. Called in and the representative and the supervisor was no help.Synovus Bank Response

The worst bank I ever dealt with. Bill pays took longer than usual time to arrive at destination. And when someone fraudulently tried to transfer funds from my account, they would not address it. Then when trying to cash Ira that I had bot used against my taxes, the head banker treated me very ugly.Synovus Bank Response

When you card is hacked (not the first time) and on the phone and hang up and won't take your call.... I'll be removing my personal account which has over 6k in it somewhere else! I'll put a screenshot of the phone log in case anyone needs it. Don't bank here! Before they bought out my local bank no problems! I would recommend getting out of this bank ASAP! They can talk before they say they are open 3 days ago and allow and fraudulent charge to flag your account but when it posts have no time for you! It's our money they are keeping. Change ASAP! I am! Been with the local bank before bought out over 20 years! Loyalty just changed and I will make sure my business partners know as well as everyone I know does. I have a lot of contacts and they are high up individuals and don't think there will not be some other action involved! $25 for my card to be expedited when at a local credited place will replace for free.... yeah ok. I have a savings account there that will now house my personal along with business accounts and a word of mouth goes a long way in the business I am in! We needed to wire money today but we were out of town in Savannah, Ga. We went to the Savannah Mall Boulevard branch where we were introduced to Sally Connelly. She treated us with the upmost courtesy and care. The wire was done quickly & efficiently. We were very impressed with Ms. Connelly’s customer service. It was a great experience! Thank you, Ms Connelly.
