I called the lab to inquire about testing and I spoke with a gentleman. I think his name started with a B like *****. He told me that the hardwood species identification would be $100. and if I wanted a rush test it would be another $200. (for a total of $300). I asked him if the Janka Hardness test was included in the price and he said yes - the total would still be $300. including the hardness test. I was expecting to pay $300, instead I received invoice 2023-****** asking for a total of $900. which is incorrect. I want the invoice adjusted to reflect the $300. total for the test. Please see all attached documentation for this claim. I have sent this twice to Ms. ******* with no reply. As of today she still has not paid her invoice even though I have revised her invoice.

I am writing in reference to the complaint filed by you with the Better Business Bureau (Complaint ID ********).
Your request when submitted to this lab was on a handwritten piece of paper (see attached) and you addressed it to the technician that you spoke with, *******, not ***** as stated in your complaint.
******* had informed you that the 2 tests were separate, Wood Species ($100) and Janka Hardness ($350) and you requested that the testing be EXPEDITED (also listed in your request).
The expedited testing that you requested prioritizes your testing to be scheduled ahead of previously existing customerl s tests, therefore an additional fee is charged.
We did the testing as requested and the invoice reflects what was discussed with *******. In order to resolve this complaint I will waive the expedited fee and I request that payment for this invoice be made as soon as possible. I will resend the invoice and you can pay by credit card with the link that is provided.
In 36 years of business Professional Testing Laboratory has never had a Better Business Complaint.
