      Yes I am following this complaint against Elixir door I have had nothing but issues with this company they're nothing but a bunch of crooks and thieves I bought two expensive doors from this company and they do not stand behind their product both doors are falling off the hinges I have sent pictures I have sent documentation ****** ***** is the biggest crook of all he does nothing but lie to the customer you shouldn't be a general manager he sent a person out he told me he paid him $700 twice the doors I have are $500 a piece this guy came to my house and warped my doors and now the company does not want to do anything he sent this guy out and said he's so good at what he does and yeah he's so good he worked the door so I have to get them replaced the company is nothing but thieves they do nothing but lie to the customer ****** ***** told me on the phone cuz he had me send him pictures of the measurements he was going to get the doors replaced then I had to basically chase him down and get him on the phone for him to tell me he wasn't going to do anything he said he spoke with the CEO and refused to give me the CEO's phone number and I made a contact with *** **** which is the owner of Alexa doors I want my doors replaced and I want this taken care of thank you and the company is j-mac

      This email is in reference to ID ******** and the complaint from ***** **** in ******* **. I received a letter from you today.

       

      The information provided to you from Mr. ***** **** is not accurate in some ways and left out other details that he may or may not have known.

       

      Mr. **** purchased two doors from ******* Hardware at **** ***** **., ******* ** *****. Mr. **** told the people at ******* that he purchased the doors a few months ago in 2022. In fact, he purchased the doors in 2018 and maybe earlier because our Serial number labels showed being built in 2017. The warranty on Elixir Door & Metals Company doors is one year from date of purchase.

       

      My service department took the call and said that the doors were out of warranty and nothing could be done. Sometime, within a day or two, I received a phone call from Mr. ****. He gave me a sad story about his life and I tried as a Good Will gesture, to help him by sending a service person to Mr. ****’s home to correct his problems. The person that I sent had worked for Elixir for more than 51 years and has always been a people pleaser. When he left Mr. ****’s home, Mr. **** was satisfied that both doors were working well. About 10 days later, Mr. **** called and said that our service guy had warped one door. Mr. **** a few days later called and said that both doors were warped and that my service guy had broken the doors. In all my service guy’s years, this had NEVER happened. To digress a little bit, one of the manager’s at ******* told me that Mr. **** had caused them problems in the past on other doors and he would make changes to the door that should not be done. Also recently, Mr. **** had treated some of the women in ******* office disrespectfully and was told to not come on their property any more. Mr. **** was also disrespectful to our receptionist.

       

      Mr. **** kept on calling sometimes 15 to 20 times or more in a day. He was able to reach the company in Ohio that owns our company. After talking to the president of our company, it was suggested to give Mr. **** two new doors as an act of GOOD WILL. Elixir Door & Metals Company will be doing just that through the same channels that Mr. **** purchased his doors originally. We will give at no cost two doors to our distributor who will in turn give those doors to ******* and they will deliver to Mr. ****’s home. I told Mr. **** this and that the doors will be delivered when our distributor receives another order from Elixir. I told Mr. **** that this could take a two or three weeks or more. Hopefully the doors will be delivered before the end of the month of September as there are not a lot of doors on order from our distributor, but we are working to schedule multiple deliveries to other customers to spedd up the delivery time.

       

      I told Mr. **** that this would complete our business and not to contact us any more about this.

      For your information, this is the first contact that I have received from BBB about this issue. In November 2014 our name changed from Elixir Industries to Elixir Door & Metals Company. Our phone numbers and email addresses also changed.
